Partey at RB… giving me PTSD.

Let’s get the win! Hopefully, Timber and White will be back by the time we roll up at Bournemouth in a fortnight. COYG!

Dada

I’m not liking the Tema but CoYVG

TP5 at RB… giving me PTSD.

Let’s get the win! Hopefully, Timber and White will be back by the time we roll up at Bournemouth in a fortnight. COYG!

89 again

More likely he’ll be higher up most of the game, it’ll be more like 3/2 or 2/3 at the back/midfield when we’re in possession, which should be most of the game if all goes to plan.

Dr. Gooner

Exactly

Dr. Gooner

TPSD?

Ebo

you deserve today’s 1st prize.

Hatem

Please not another timber injury

Kevin Albone

He’s not been called up for the inter lull apparently? Hopefully back after the break

Momozemio

Gosh, right back alert 😅
Let’s grab those 3 points

Would say this is the best we can do considering all injuries/fitness.

Should be more than enough to beat So’ton hopefully.

COYG!

Graeb

MA experimenting? I know it’s Saints but hope we don’t turn it into a banana skin. Should be good game time for Jesus and Sterling. Similar thoughts on TP5.

Dr. Gooner

Asking a lot of TP here early doors in terms of minutes. RB is especially physically demanding, though I expect to see him in midfield for most of this game. Good to see the depth being used up front.

Dr. Gooner

Watch out for Dibling. Promising young winger, good matchups for him if he can isolate Calafiori or TP in some space. Those two can be had for pace.

El Mintero

Califiori can be had for pace?

Dr. Gooner

I can’t tell if this is sarcasm. He burst onto the scene when he changed from LB to LCB at Basel and took that further at Bologna. He’s back at LB with us now which is mostly fine because we control games so well, except when there’s a foot race down the line. You saw that against Hakimi and today again against Dibling.

Dr. Gooner

After about 20 minutes I expect us to start scoring. 4-1 final score.

Ebo

almost!

Dr. Gooner

Shouldve been with a little more 🥶

Alex

Mikel will likely split the minutes at right back, with Tomi getting some minutes too (game permitting).

Jesus and Sterling should be plenty good enough with Saka and Havertz to get goals from the start.

Nate

A heavily rotated side ft Jesus, Sterling, Saka, and Havertz up front. They are so fucked.

Man Manny

No Timber; no White; no Tomiyasu; no Zinchenko…four full backs all at once! Add Ødegaard and it shows how things can change quickly for a team. We should be fine today, but I hope the tide changes after the inter-break.

Vieiraera

If this keeps Timber out of the internationals I’m all for it. I guess Tomi is still not fully fit. TP at RB is a big call. Let’s hope we get some early goals to ease off any pressure on this makeshift defense.

Frosty

About half the team are strikers!

Bobbert

Soton have 4 on their bench as well

Bobbert

Partey at right back? Hoping whoever is playing in front of him is going to do their defensive duties today or he’ll be exposed.

Al m

Horrible line up.
Partey was a disaster at fb. Tommi on bench too!
Why not start with Merino?
Jesus up front is pointless if he stays try to form this last 18 months.
Nwaneri should be starting

He’s got no hair but we don’t care...

Really not a fan of resting players at the start of a game. Go full strength. Go 3-0, then bring off Martinelli and Trossard.

Greg in Seattle

The right side is a train wreck creatively.

FMT

Jesus upfront imbalances this team.
If he is not going to score play him on the wings!

Vieiraera

Same ole same ole. Drifts in and out of the box. Can’t dominate CBs. Can’t score except a once-in-a-blue-moon flashy goal. Can’t hold up the ball either. Overplays – that pass to Saka was on. He took yet another unnecessary touch. Chance gone. I seriously wonder how much longer he’s got at Arsenal. Obviously this team has completely outgrown him.

Dr. Gooner

He needs match fitness and he needs a goal. He will be fine.

Ealing

Unwatchable dross so far

Ealing

Get Jesus off the pitch

Vieiraera

Yank him off now. He’s a total waste of time

Greg in Seattle

Don’t know if we will react with three goals, but it’s tough to not pin this tight showing on Arteta. I get rotation. Maybe injuries force the Partey at RB thing, but Nwenari would have at least brought some small space creativity and intent.

Jesus and Sterling seem redundant.

Dr. Gooner

This is how managers figure out which relationships work and which ones don’t. But they’ve also never played together before. It showed, but we also shouldve’ been out of sight by 10 minutes wiht all the high turnovers.
