Johnny 4 Hats

Something tells me they will be coming down our left side tonight then… Martinelli will need to support Zinchenko and Kiwior.

Still feeling wildly confident though.

3-1. No probs.

COYG!!!

Johnny 4 Hats

Crazy to think that, with Kiwior and Timber on the pitch, that Kieran Tierney is our second choice left back tonight.

It’s lining up to be the redemption arc nobody thought they needed.

And even if he doesn’t get on the field, hey, every little helps.

Jakeus

I would wager to say he’s our next choice at center back as well – that role probably gels his style into ours better at this stage anyway. Fingers crossed for health tonight.

Interested to see where we target set-pieces, especially with Merino out of the starting team

Johnny 4 Hats

I’d almost feel more comfortable with him at LCB than LB…

Nate

No way Zinny goes 90. A wild Tierney sighting very possible!

Johnny 4 Hats

I think Arteta might go T5 to RB and Timber to LB before he does that!

Having said that, I would love to see one more KT up-and-under before I die.

Mark

I agree he would probably move Partey to RB and Timber to left back, but I too would love to see Tierney back out there in an Arsenal shirt storming up and down the wing.

truj

Press them to the limits! COYG!

TotsOfJack

Tomi is never available when we need him the most. Thank goodness we still have Tierney.

Cygan’sbaldspot

I feel for him but it’s become a joke. They don’t even issue updates on his fitness anymore. Love him as a player, he’s great, but we need to cut ties.

charvakan

This would have been a great game for a fit KT.

Jesus of Sao Paulo

Should be.

Dinosauras

True – but cant say the club has been naive for relying on him given our stockpile of multi-position defenders. Last season still hurts tho…

Naked Cygan

Ffs kiwior. Ffs.

Nacho de Montreal is tasty

Common, it is not a MAGA appointment.

Glenn

Hahahaha

Bobbyp

That bench is short on experience. Shame about big Gabi, but we’ll still beat ’em.

Scrubbychubby

Really? Neto, Tierney, Jorginho, Merino, Sterling, Trossard and Jesus are all hugely experienced.

Bobbyp

I see what you’re saying, but Tierney has been out a long time, and Sterling and Jesus aren’t in good form.

Bleeding Gums Murphy

It’s a strong bench

Jakeus

Compared to the other bench, especially – yes, more than adequate

Scrubbychubby

Yeah, I see what you mean. I guess I’m just being pedantic about the use of the word ‘experience’.

Bobbyp

Ha ha! I get you. I’m pedantic myself. We’ll win this anyway.

Naked Cygan

Zinchenko? Zinchenko? Ffs.

Scrubbychubby

Merino and Partey back, Calafiori and Gabriel out. Fucking incessant injuries this season.

wrightstuff8

I hear you… but we need to trust the squad, and win beyond a perfect bill of health.

North Bank Gooner

Need a win tonight, and would be nice to see the geordies get 3pts. COYG!!

Teryima Adi

Strange line up by Amorin. Let’s do this, guys. 3-0 to the Arsenal. COYG!!!!!

Teryima Adi

Why drop Rashford and Amad to the bench?

Jakeus

One or the other I could understand for rotation – but both is a little more than I expected. Hopefully we can start quick and neutralize the benefits they could bring off the bench late in the game

Thierry Bergkamp (non negotiable)

Looking to hang in there and maybe bring them on to nick a goal in the last 10 mins

BillyKrystal

You’re right that is odd. Looks like will be Dalot and Malacia as wingbacks?

Man Manny

They are not good at putting in the graft, especially Rashford. They are likely to be on the back foot most of the game with that Arsenal midfield and attack.

Thierry Bergkamp (non negotiable)

What was Calafiori’s injury record like before he joined us?

Vonnie

He had a really serious injury that kept him out for quite a while but after that he’s always been fine. Merino also reliably fit. The Premier League is a different beast and they’ve had a difficult start but I’m sure they’ll be fine.

Thierry Bergkamp (non negotiable)

Ok Vonnie, thanks for that. Fingers crossed they will be for us

He’s got no hair but we don’t care...

Just the Zinchenko addition that worries me. Otherwise all good. COYG!

pahtotheworld

Bit worrying beyond the starting 11. Only 1 defender available with more the one first-team appearance

Gervinho is Driving

Rice is an option at center back

Theo

I don’t fancy both Zinny and Kiwior on the left. Martinelli and Rice will definitely have a busy day bombing up and down.
With Merino available i had hoped for TP at RB and Timber at LB but i believe MA knows best.
I give us 2:0 or 3:1
COYG

King Kolo

Ah the back 4 that’s missing… White, Tomiyasu, Gabriel, Calafiori… bloody hell, that’s better than the one out there! We’ll still win tonight!!

Thierry Bergkamp (non negotiable)

Bloody hell, it actually is

D.J.

With Gabriel out, I hope the forwards can pick up the scoring slack. 😉

Whisht

I’m assuming (and actually hoping) that Arsenal did use HIA in terms of Gabriel. That Arteta’s comment as to a different injury was just public obfuscation, but that player welfare was to actually run HIA.

Hey ho – hope he’s ok and ok for next match.

Hope also we have enough for this match!

Mark

I probably missed it, but where is Lewis-Skelly? Is he out injured?

wrightstuff8

Believe so

pahtotheworld

He had been out injured but is available now. Was at the game as a backup had someone got injured in the warm-up

Ealing

Useless first half.

BillyKrystal

Ok so Utd are going to be even more annoying cunts under Amorim. God I hate them so much what a shit game so far.

BelgianGooner

Think we need to swap Partey who’s not having a great game for Merino. We need more energy in the midfield to break ManUTD sleepy tactics

Ealing

Needs to hook Zink, not suitable

BelgianGooner

He’s leaving in the summer 100%

Meaning we’ll buy another left back this summer 😅

TeeCee

I think it’s incredibly generous of ManUre to give us so many corners when we’re so good at them.

BelgianGooner

2nd half Rice was so gooood, feels like he’s back from his injured toe.
