At a pre-Marseille press conference today the Welsh Jesus (©Arseblog News Hound) used the word many times. Perhaps so confident that he felt he could say ‘confident’ over and over without anyone suggesting he was too confident.
“I’m feeling really confident,” he said. See?
“The team is confident too and that always helps. I’m feeling really good out there and I’m just enjoying myself – I don’t take that much interest in the statistics. As long as we’re doing a good job and the team is playing well than I’m happy with that.”
Asked about their chances of winning tomorrow night against the French visitors, he said, confidently, “We’ll take it game by game, but we’re feeling really confident.
“Having lost at home against Dortmund there was a bit of pressure to go there and get a result, which we did and did ever so well. We’re back in a strong position again, so let’s take in the next game and hopefully get a win there and put ourselves in a strong position to qualify.”
Ramsey was also asked about the return of Thierry Henry to training, and although Arsene Wenger said there’s no chance of re-signing the leading scorer of all time, ever, the midfielder believes he can still have an impact on the Arsenal players.
