Tomas Rosicky is back in the Arsenal squad for tomorrow’s game against Bolton. The Czech midfielder hasn’t played since the *cough-cough* at Old Trafford.
Arsene Wenger said, “Rosicky is back in the squad. Sagna and Ramsey had positive tests this morning, so overall it is alright”.
However, there’s some bad news with both Yossi Benayoun and Johan Djourou both missing. Ok, so the way he’s playing at the moment Djourou’s absence might not be bad news but neither is expected to be out for too long.
“Benayou has a thigh strain and Djourou has a hamstring”, explained Wenger. “Both of them are very minor muscular problems.
They could play with a risk of making it worse but we will not take the gamble. As I told you, we only play players when they are 100 per cent. One week, so Bolton and Olympiacos for sure. They have an outside chance to play against Tottenham”.
Wenger earlier updated on the fitness of Thomas Vermaelen and Abou Diaby.
I’m probably one of the few that thinks Rosicky being back is good news.
Mee too.. Welcome back (even though for a fer games) Mozart! Yipeee!
Same here, looking forward to seeing him play again, I still think he can have a major impact on our midfield this season
did he say anything about jack.?
nope. He’s just too banjaxed to even talk about.
Johan Djourou can still be out for ever..he plays nothing even when he is ok. This is da squad i would use if i were wenger. 1-scheizeny 2-Sagna 3- Gibbs 4-Vermalean/ Squillachi. 5- Merterka.. 6 – Song 7.Roscisky 8 Arteta 11 Park 10- van persie and 9 Walcott
It’s like a new signing!
“…and Djourou has a hamstring”, explained Wenger.
Well, i’m glad to hear he isn’t a cyborg.
…I’ll get your coat.
I LOL’ed what a classic joke
Where in the world is Abou Diaby?
He was supposed to arrive in pre-season but he got lost in Wales. He´s presumed dead. R.I.P.
Rosicky is a great presence. After a somewhat indifferent pre-season, I thought Rosicky really showed signs of his old self just before this most recent injury. Still think he has a lot to offer this team, not only on the pitch, but off it. I’m looking for him to captain our domestic cup campaigns (rather than Djourou…).
Really good to see positive feedback, I too thinl he’d make a great captain.
Ahh the man who can really tackle is back. Hope he’ll last for 10 games before he got crocked again.
[…] Rosicky has recovered from his strain, and is in the squad the match later. Some of the fans over the net have been claiming that the Czech skipper has been dropped from the team, and wasn’t suffering from any injury. I don’t know about that but if Le Boss says he doesn’t play any player who is unfit, I would trust him I guess. Anyhow, the midfielder seems to have put his injury woes behind him, and a good run in the team should seen him gain form. Hopefully. […]
