Arsene Wenger will be concerned this morning after reports that David Ospina has picked up another injury while on international duty.
The Arsenal keeper had to be helped off the pitch at the end of a 3-2 win over Bolivia. He picked up a knock in a collision with an opponent during the game which required him to have treatment.
Coming after the injury he picked up against Everton, clashing with Romelu Lukaku, the 26 year old is in the wars a bit at the moment, but hopefully it’s more a case of bruising than anything too serious.
Ospina has been deputising for Petr Cech who damaged his hamstring against Swansea on March 2nd. He was expected to be out for around four weeks, and as yet it’s uncertain whether or not he’ll be ready to return after the international break.
Fingers crossed he is, and that Ospina isn’t too badly hurt, because if they’re not ready it’s youngster Matt Macey who will have be to be thrust in at the deep end when we face Watford in the Premier League next weekend.
I’m calling it, Macey to match Iwobi and score on his Premier League debut.

It definitely is a farce. I always maintain we should have at least 20-30 world class keepers in the squad, but preferably 40.

I’ve never known such an injury-prone goalkeeper. The amount of knocks he picks up is astonishing, especially when you consider he doesn’t play that often.
Macey comes in and pulls a Bellerin, keeping 8 straight clean sheets. Ozil gets five more assists, Sanchez scores in in every match, Campbell shares up top with that guy and combines ruthlessly. It’s a historic end with Iwobi clinching it for us. What? Cough* COYG

Totally agree! It’s not like wolves are making use of him inbetween the sticks on match days presently! Plus I love Emy’s presence and frame for a goalkeeper, he’s almost if not same height as cech and has got very sharp reflexes too! Sezny on the other hand is the starting goalie for Roma so it’ll be difficult and even cruel to recall him to come play second fiddle once Cech and Ospina are both fit as it were!
Sending my kids to Arsenal academy, highly likely they’ll get a game with all these silly injuries every year/every season

Ospina does look too lightweight in games. He tends to need treatment almost every time any form of body contact is made, be it from his teammate or an opponent(he should consider playing chess)..
I’m guessing it’s the effect of the back injury he had at Nice before joining us, and that also delayed his debut.. hope he’s fit enough for saturday
The last goalkeeper spontaneously combusted and all that was left was a little green globule. The one before that choked on vomit; it was somebody else’s vomit. We’ve gone through 40 goalkeepers in two years …

Am I terrible if I hope Kane and Alliance get injured during the international’s this week. I’m just so tired of the never ending I juries for us and then see the teams we are below stay healthy no matter what.
