Moreover, if we can’t get at least a draw at home to this season’s Aston Villa, whilst still playing Rosicky, there’s something seriously amiss. What’s bold about it? Coquelin is in the squad, so either one of Jack or Santi will pair him and one on the wings. Both have been out for a while and need to prove fitness before the Euros, Jack especially so I see why Arsene’s gone with them starting.

Eligibility has nothing to do with it. It doesn’t make ‘commercial sense’ to arrange a testimonial for a player that’s been at the club for 10 years – better to arrange a money-spinning pre-season friendly in the middle of nowhere so that Stan can get more ‘consultation’ fees.

This is basically the same team that did so well until Alexis/Coq/Santi all got injured, except we have Wilshere on the wing instead of Ramsey. Lets keep this and add Xhaka, a striker and a CB and we might have a chance.

No Flamster and Rosa. They were the only reasons I was really looking forward to this match. Just to see them put on that shirt one more time. A real shame that won’t happen. Nevertheless thank you to the both of them for all the wonderful memories over the last 10 years.
I can only imagine TR7 isn’t fit enough to even consider playing 🙁 At least one of the 3 confirmed to be departes has a chance to pull on the kit one last time. Interesting formation though it has to be said, I wonder how that will take shape.
