It’s been a good start for two of Arsenal players at the Rio Olympics. Firstly, Serge Gnabry came off the bench to score for Germany in their 2-2 draw with Mexico.
Then, new signing Takuma Asano got on the scoresheet with a deft close range finish to make it 5-3.
It almost sparked a comeback as the game finished 5-4. They next play Sweden who drew 2-2 with Colombia last night.
Earlier the 21 year old spoke about his delight at joining the Gunners, although it is expected that he’ll spend the season on loan unless he is granted a special talent visa. He lacks the international caps to qualify under the current regulations.
Takuma Asano
It’s our problem free philosophy
“Takuma Asano
What a wonderful name
Takuma Asano
Will he ever get a game?
It means no worries, for the rest of your days
It means trouble free (unlike Wilshire’s knee)
Takuma Asano”
Sung, of course, to the tune of ‘Smack your bitch up’.
Bravo!
haha
Good movement. Off topic what’s happened to contracts of Ozil and Sanchez. I thought it was all being signed in summer.
They’re letting their contracts run down so they can leave more easily next summer to a club that actually spends big on more than one player each summer and has ambitions beyond finishig 4th every year.
Or….. maybe they’re running down their contracts to join a club whose fans have a smaller proportion of hyper ignorant cock wombles
Had a bad day did ya?
Lol..he surely did.
if you were ozil and sanchez you’d be waiting to see how the transfer window pans out, then how the season goes.
Dude looks like Bolo Yeung. That can only be a good thing.
I was waiting for his tiger claw celebration…
Nigeria needs Kanu to play. I’m sure he’s still 18.
His bread and butter is definitely running full steam at the heart of the defense. He ran around like a mad man once he came on.
And what’s Mats Hummels doing in a Japan kit in that Asano picture?
Lol, the second Japanese looks a lot like Hummels.
Pardon my eyesight but on second glance it looks like Samir Nasri jogging with the ball alongside Hummels
Agree, we seem to have better visual memory than the average Arsenal fan.
As a Nigerian Gooner, this match was perfect!
Having watched the second half when he came on, he looks like a very exciting prospect. He chased everything down and completely changed the game for Japan.
Start him over Theo.
My time to shine!
