Personally if you’re gonna drop Alexis, at least play Lucas. Was hoping we would do a Leicester and hit them on the break and counter with speed. I guess Wenger has a different plan in mind.

I think Arsene is putting too much pressure on the young Iwobi. The more experienced Lucas should have started ahead of him but what do I know?

Why on earth does Alexis need to be saved for Bayern. We are not going to win that game lets be realistic here. Surely the focus needs to be on the PL and winning this game is a must?! There must be something going on behind the scenes here.

Not sure why we’d save anyone for Tuesday, have little chance to comeback against Bayern and we desperately need three points in this match to stay in the top 4. Would far prefer to see Alexis up top rather than Giroud as we need to give Liverpool a bit of their own medicine with high pressure and Giroud certainly doesn’t do that.
Why Iwobi still? Surely Perez offers us more on break? And more fire power.
Let’s see if Mustafi can pass to his own players and not try his Gerrard-style long range stuff.

People complain about tactical rigidity but when Wenger makes tactical changes cue the shortsighted rage.
I’d rather have an in form Welbeck than Lucas against Liverpool. Welbeck has more to his game and has experience of the PL in big games.
