Hector Bellerin will have to put his summer holiday plans on hold after Spain confirmed his call-up to their under-21 squad for the upcoming European Championships in Poland.
The right-back, who last summer was a late addition to the senior squad for EURO 2016, will join up with his compatriots after the FA Cup final.

The tournament kicks off on 16 June with Spain facing Portugal, Serbia and Macedonia in Group B. We firmly expect the Spanish press to take every opportunity to link Hector with Barcelona while he’s on international duty. Ho hum.
It’s expected that Rob Holding and Calum Chambers will feature for England, who take on the hosts Poland, Sweden and Slovakia. We’re hazarding a guess, but perhaps Krystian Bielik might be in with a shout of making the Poland side too?
Great player. Will be a full Spanish international in time.
He already is!
Good point, I didn’t realise!
I mean he will be a regular full Spanish international player.
I remember the gaffer saying Hector should rest up this summer instead of taking part in an international tournament (as Wenger had anticipated). Oh well, I guess not then…
Could Bielik be in the running for a squad role next year?
He’s had a stellar season for B’mingham apparently.
Not saying he should be ahead of Holding or Chambers but maybe Merts?
Spain have a keeper called Kepa!?
The picture is of Hector pre-tonsorial experimentation. Boring.
