Francis Coquelin says he’s willing to play anywhere at all to make sure he gets on the pitch for Arsenal.
Like any young player worth his salt he’s itching to play at all times, and this season already has played in midfield and in both full back positions. The combative Frenchman, who recently signed a new deal with the club, told Arsenal Player, “I want to play as much as possible. At the moment it’s at right back, even if I’m usually a midfielder, but it’s not a problem. I’m doing everything I can to play.
“It’s only really at the start of this season that I have started playing with the first team. I played against Manchester United at the end of August. Since that, I try to get as much time on the pitch with the first team as possible, whatever the position.”
Coquelin has impressed throughout, his attitude and workrate are first class and he’s made real strides having spent last season on loan at Lorient.
Meanwhile, another 19 year old, recent signing Thomas Eisfeld, says joining Arsenal is a dream come true.
“Arsenal is a great club and it is great for young players. The stadium is amazing, it is great. I am impressed with the Arsenal training centre and I really enjoy the atmosphere here. On Sunday I was at the game with my agent and it was great.
“Mr Wenger said to me that I will get the chance to train with the first team and then it is up to me if I play well.”
Whether or not the young German can make any kind of breakthrough remains to be seen, but let’s hope he’s more Bisch-on than Bisch-off.
We have got a coq that can fill any hole
Seems like Wenger likes playing le Coq anywhere
and let’s face it, who doesn’t
I would not want to face the coq.
Is Le Coq better from behind?
I hear it’s quite scarey when the Coq gets in your face.
If le coq doesn’t maintain a certain position it could be a case of in and out all season.
I want to make a Coq joke but I’ve run dry…
I’ve also been firing blanks
Watched him since he arrived and played for the yutes n reserves. Was really impressed then and hoped he’d do well…. and he aint disapointed! He is gonna be a great player for us.
Yes, yes, yes, great player and all that jazz, but can you make punny dick jokes using his last name?
Everyone here is gay for the coq.
I would like to see him coming in from behind, then driving between the front two, spraying balls all over the place.
I’m sure I’ve said that before somehow…
Ox Cambo, Wilshere, Le Coq, Frimpong, Yennaris, Gibbs, Rambo, Afobe, Aneke. makes me one excited Arse fan.
I skipped the article just to read the Coq jokes in the comments.
I was going to title the piece – Coq: I love arse – but thought some of the news feeds might be a bit unhappy. heh
I hear he also love Titi
perhaps you missed a trick when he returned to training and you could have run the “Coq can’t wait to take a swing at balls” headline
Amazingly versatile cute little player. Even on the wings he looked seasoned. Get well Jack Wilshere…for the mean time we will stick with our ‘Jack of all trades and master of all’.
I think you’re getting too excited making le Coq seem bigger than he really is.
Hes the Coq of all trades
He plays so fine, he works so hard no wonder the coq gets wet .
It’s very useful to have a versatile Coq around the Arse
apparently they keep a big box tissues around at the Emirates because
when Coq gets pulled off he cries.
Too far?
Or spits with rage?
After Henry’s comeback against Leeds AW said
‘It was a story you would tell young kids if you want to tell them a story about football’
Proof that Arsene knows,
– you see i’ve been telling young kids stories about coq, and i’m told if it doesnt stop i’ll end up sharing a cell with John Terry
@Arseblogger
Everytime we lose, please run a Coq article, it would cheer me up.
Not in that way!
after the Arshavin episode I Helder Arsene Eisfeld my Coq get Limpar.
Ryo Miyaichi…maybe he just like Coq…
I have a penis too!
Le Coq fits the Arse perfectly
