Arsene Wenger has revealed that Calum Chambers is back in full training ahead of Arsenal’s game with Swansea at the weekend.
The centre-back has been recovering from a hip problem picked up in the Carabao Cup win over Doncaster Rovers last month. It remains to be seen whether the England international is needed with Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny, Rob Holding and Nacho Monreal all fit and ahead of him in the pecking order.
“Well, basically the squad that was available against Everton is available and, for the rest, decisions will be made if they will come in or not,” told his weekly press conference, held after the club’s AGM.
“I will make that decision tomorrow [Friday]. But overall everybody is available [from last weekend], and everybody who played on Tuesday night is available as well.”
He added: “The only players who are not completely back are Mustafi and Welbeck. Calum Chambers is back in full training on Monday and Ospina has a chance to be available against Belgrade. He will not be available for Saturday.”
Presumably, the players who featured on Tuesday are likely to drop out of the squad or to the bench. Wenger made 11 changes to his starting line-up and those first team stars that did feature had a 120-minute workout.
4-4-2 Nketiah up top!
Good news, hope we get AOL upfront.
3 points would be great, especially as Man U and/or Tottenham are bound to drop points, preferably both of them, plus a punch-up on the pitch that gets some of their players banned.
AOL up front? No Eddie? 😉
Eddie is best off the bench after 85 minutes, from my experience of him.
Yes a draw between our direct rivals is usually the best rest as it results in only 2 points (a point a piece) rather than a win resulting in 3 points for one of them.
So I always hope for a draw but with lot of red cards and handbags involved 🙂
And injuries.
and lasagna
and points deducted (although it was counterpoductive when done to us)
And Hawaian pizza…
A red card for Mou would be the icing
The classic 21-man brawl with 7 red cards, extended bans for the players, hefty fines and points deductions for both teams.
Not too much to ask is it?
What happens to the 22nd man?
He was already at the showers
I always want S***s to lose. I just can’t help myself. I’ve watched the highlights of them losing to West Ham last night several times already. Wankers.
Here’s to Alli getting booked for diving again… he managed to avoid a card for simulation against West Ham, somehow. That little cheat needs to become an example to other players in the league.
Direct rivals? Are West Brom playing Stoke this weekend?
john C. I’ve never seen you say anything positive. Not once. Do you celebrate our victories? Are you a troll? You’re a fun sponge mate, you soak up everything that’s good and spit it out reeking of your foul and bitter breath. I beg you to go on some spud website and drain the fucking atmosphere from them cunts cos I’m sick of your boring comments. Fucking west brom! You remind me of fucking west brom, that’s how fucking boring you are! This will probably be deleted, but hopefully some people will see it beforehand so it can be an… Read more »
I couldn’t care less what you thought about me but i will continue to write whatever i wish, feel free to read it or not, either way i have no problem
‘OLA’
Some pizza throwing afterwards would be nice….especially one big piece on landing on Mou’s face!!
I’d say ÖLA, it’s better.
Öl is beer in swedish.
ÖLA is a verb; to drink beers. Often used when going for an after work.
“Wanna öla tonight mah öl-loving broseph?”
btw, I’m totally gonna öla tonight. Cheers
Alo, that is a good acronym.
Throw Giroud on at half time and you get GOAL
Get Mustafi scoring a late goal v Sp*rs from an Alexis corner passed to Ozil and flicked on by Laca and you get LMAO.
Good the 3 didn’t take as long to connect as the internet provider
Fancy us for a 5-0 or 6-0 win.
Also fancy West Brom to get something against City.
Annnnnnd jinx.
Good news with Chambers. Our defence looked VERY makeshift against Norwich.
Will need strengthening if we want to seriously challenge for Carabao/UEFA.
Having actual defenders playing in defence would be a good start for sure!
I hope it means Elneny can stop playing CB and Chambers can come into the cup squad the same way Wilshere did and reintegrate into the squad.
I swear at one point we had theo at right back and iwobi at left with elneny in the middle. My house mate turned to me and goes.
“If i was wenger and people were giving me this much shit, id go you know what, you think i was taking the piss with attacking football before. Watch this!”
Debuchy looked good in all fairness, wouldn’t mind him making the bench
Watch Debuchy only in the Norwich chances… jogging back / lucky not to concede penalty:

Possible Team:
Eddie
Eddie Eddie Eddie
Eddie Eddie Eddie Eddie
Eddie Eddie Eddie
with Eddie, Eddie and Eddie to come on in the 70th minute, UNBEATABLE
I would wait until the 85th minute to bring on Eddie.
We gonna lose big time with this lineup
So what’s wrong with Nelson then?
One eye, one arm. Hmm.
Aboard the Victory-O!
the new perry groves? ?
What’s the latest on Santi Carzola please???
And on Santi Cazorla.
