Sky select four Arsenal fixtures for broadcast in April

Sky Sports have they will broadcast four Arsenal fixtures in April including home fixtures with Southampton and West Ham and trips to Newcastle and Manchester United.

It’s possible that two of the rearranged fixtures will be subject to further date changes depending on the Gunners participation in the Europa League and United’s run in the Champions League.

Quite whether you’ll want to watch this Arsenal team by the time we get to April is another matter.

Monday, April 9 @8pm
Arsenal v Southampton

Monday, April 23 @8pm*
Arsenal v West Ham Utd
*Subject to Arsenal’s Europa League participation

Sunday, April 15 @1.30pm
Newcastle v Arsenal

Sunday, April 29 @4.30pm*
Man Utd v Arsenal
*Subject to United’s participation in the Champions League

Monday? Ergh, the worst day for football ?

Kwame Ampadu Down

Following Arsenal these days I’m not too keen on Tuesday to Sunday either…

Boom Xhaka Laca

But how are our players going to make it into Garth Crooks’ Team of the Week if we keep playing on Mondays?!

Donald\'s Trump

Oh em jee.

Pedant

I’d be surprised if there is much to play for by then, so not sure that many will be watching.

Mein Bergkampf

Nah, everyone but Arsenal fans will be tuning in to watch the exploding clown car of British football.

Peter

TV has too much power.

QMantis

pundits will be absolutely loving it. Like vultures on a carcass, they’ll eat well on these games.

I T

Thanks SKY, not all fans work in London, better start the General Sale adverts in the Metro…

Petits Handbag

Its February and we’ve nothing to play for in the league. Depressing times. In my day a late season game at Old Trafford would be to celebrate winning leagues with Wiltord & Kanu celebrating like bosses.

David Hillier\'s luggage

Haven’t we played on a Monday and Thursday in the same week this season already? West Brom then BATE? Precedent has been set, no way they’re changing it. Be a disgrace if the game goes ahead on a Monday if we’re in the semis

GlenHeldersmum

Semis LoL

Billy Bob

Well sky must be thinking that Joe Public is going to be in need of some hilarity, at arsenal’s expense, why else would they show mid table football in the climactic part of the season?

Modhabobo

God they love to watch a car crash don’t they!

I AM ARSENAL

They want to show Arsenal’s demise and Wengers fall on live TV during what will be its most dramatic period,

Ozymandias

The beatings WILL be televised…

Mayor McCheese

It’s in poor taste to insist on televising images of weeping children.

Jon

Great.. had tickets booked, flights paid for, and hotels confirmed for Southampton game. It was to be my first ever match. Thanks Sky.

Hey blogs Your story on leaked managerial replacement. You made one key point that resonates. Fitting in to the structure of the club. I think no matter who arsenal hire, unless that new manager can spend serious money like city or United there is no way the team gets better. Look at Chelsea. Champs and they failed to keep up in spending and they might finish 5th. The days of signing raw talent for short money and turning players into worldclass players are over. Man u tried it with martial and rashford and lindegard (despite his recent form) and felt… Read more »

Will watch Arsenal again when this manager is gone. Meanwhile I can read the live blog for results

Briggsyeee

At least we won’t have to listen to BT Sport’s finest; Robbie Savage. Literally cannot bare him, worse than Michael Owen and that’s going some. Does anyone know how such an unpopular and general shit c**t footballer can get a job on TV?

Clock-End-Mike

Four fixtures? That’s actually ALL the April fixtures rearranged (Stoke on 1st April already moved). I miss Saturday afternoon football…
