Omg! How quickly has he learned English! Very very impressed!!
Im sorry but when you live and work in a country for 6 months you should be able to communicate in that language. I would have been pretty disappointed if his English would be as bad as it was when he got presented. I still have the feeling it’s very hard for him to say what he really wants to say. His understanding is also still pretty bad as he needs someone who translates most of the questions for him. It’s getting better but you should expect that from a highly paid person.
Come on! Do you know he is Spanish ? Do you want to build walls so that people remain where they were born so that they speak the local language fluently ?
I really don’t get the connection between my comment and yours therefore it’s hard to answer it. I’m not for walls and everybody should live where he wants to but if you are in a job like Emery and communication is very important for your job and you have all the possibilities to plan your lessons as convenient as they can be (in terms of timing as well as the fact that he will surely have private lessons) plus you live in that country and hear the language 24/7, then I just say I don’t find it that impressive that… Read more »
