Arsenal are through to the 4th round of the FA Cup after two goals from Joe Willock and one from Alex Iwobi gave Unai Emery’s side a 3-0 win over League One Blackpool. In truth, it could have been more, and Eddie Nketiah will be kicking himself over some missed chances, but all in all a professional job done pretty well.

1/10 for Tony Adams’ suit. Looked like Jim out of American Pie.
Still looked better than the decrepit Oyston.
He looked like one of the main cast from the 90s movie “The Witches”.
It is hard to believe that Oyston is not a character in a fairly unsophisticated comedy show.
0/10 for Tony Adams’ chat
What did he say?
Some serious accidental partridge on his part
Did he at no point ask the tailor if it was too jazzy?
All I will say is a 6 for Lichsteiner is incredibly generous..
He helped out at center back. He is not a center back. I get it, he is the new whipping boy, but come on.
Considering his displays in an Arsenal shirt, I would say he is not even a footballer, let alone a centre back. He is not a whipping boy, he is just poor. Should we defend poor players?
“Not even a footballer…” check out his CV maybe. I agree he’s had several poor performances at Arsenal, most of them out of position though. I believe he is adequate at right back to replace Bellerin in less demanding games… which is why he was signed in the first place. And yet Bellerin was overplayed once again and the inevitable happened. Then you have Licht in a three man defence with the likes of Mustafi and Sokratis agains Liverpool, which, I agree with you, doesn’t look good at all.
Honestly, he should be nowhere near the team, not even as cover. He was obviously a fine player, but he is far from that player now and we have enough passengers in this squad without having someone who is now sadly a liability. The truth hurts sometimes
I agree he’s been poor for us and looks well short of the player he used to be. Frustrating that we’ve signed a past his best 35 year old and loaned out a promising but experienced youngster in chambers.
Bu the downvtes, I guess we are expected to put up with shcking performances ust because someone has a good CV.. Weird!
Too high ratings.
This game serves as an important reminder why we were thumped by Liverpool.nobody can/wants to defend.
The midfield is non existent
Cheer up 🙂
I agree with this. team attitude is not good in defensive ‘moments’. not enough midfielders on the pitch big gaps between lines.
It’s a pattern throughout the season. But to be fair we don’t have the tools to play a proper 4-3-3 yet.
Agreed.
Really think Jenks should be ahead of Lichtsteiner in the team queue!
John, I think you may be ahead of him in the queue!
Yes na.. I frankly agreed with that!
I think Jenks was pretty good every time he got a chance this season. Would have no problem with giving him some PL playing time, either as cover for Hector or even as part of a back 3. How he was still running down that right side in extra time was quite impressive.
I agree he’s looked good this season, but it’s much easier to look good against the weak opposition he’s been up against (mainly in Europa) in his run outs this season.
We all want to see Jenks to do well since he’s a fan. But if the manager isn’t seeing enough from him in training to play him in the PL, then I trust his judgment.
One of our few players who can cross the ball!
This was a nice run-out for some of the juniors, shame the seniors give such a poor defensive model.
Saka’s Avg rating is making me hungry.
And i hope Jenks gets an extended run at RB, anything else will be at least a partial eclipse of the heart…

Ramsey “worked hard?” He’s a professional footballer. It’s his job – and the minimum requirement – to work hard. A player in his prime who’s reportedly Juve, Bayern, and PSG-quality should be bossing games against mid-table League One sides, right?
He played well today. And besides isn’t not “working hard” the reason why ozil gets criticism? Some people gotta complain about everything.
Pretty sure having no interest in pressing or defending is Ozil’s problem.
Well he certainly did for most of the game yesterday
Decent display. Of course bearing in mind it is Blackpool who are in a bit of bother at the moment. So would not read TOO much into it. Third rate players like Jenkinson had a great run out and did well. Elneny was OK for level of opposition. Willock shows great promise with instinct and very silky on the ball, one for the potential not to distant future. Also Nketiah I though did a great job holding the ball for us and distributing. Iwobi again came up with several great passes and a goal so he continues to improve for… Read more »
