A gutsy performance with a bit of luck thrown into the mix – all in all an unexpectedly positive end to the season. However, we shouldn’t get too carried away. Gooners don’t need reminding that we had the worst league finish for 25 years with the prospect of no European football at all until yesterday’s triumph. The squad needs a pretty big overhaul, but there’s little money in the kitty. Arteta and the backroom staff are going to have to be very clever in this transfer window to achieve the necessary uplift in the league week in and out next… Read more »
What amazed me was Bellerin’s run for the 2nd goal. He FINALLY took command of a situation and showed his speed demon game. FINALLY. He took it forward with like 3-4 opposition players around him.
No one is seemingly talking about that moment but deserves huge credit. I wish him and others can show more of this.
And for the crunching tackle from Christensen that played the ball perfectly to Pepe and took Christensen out of the rest of the play…
Side note. It was a bit of a shock seeing Gabi Martinelli still on crutches during the celebrations. Dam. What an unfortunate training ground injury. He could well miss most of the next season.

I have to say it was great to see Mustafi and Martinelli join the celebrations, but I wish we had Ozil and Guendouzie joining the rest if the team. I hope we can work something out and hopefully see Ozil and Guendouzie back on the pitch. No one is perfect, and everyone makes mistakes. They are both good players, just have to make sure they follow Areteta and his plans.
To be clear you’re talking about 2 players who have now refused to do whatever needs to be done bordering on 2 months. 1 whose past manager has publicly commented on how bad his attitude is and another who has been frozen out by 4 consecutive managers. At this point just move Gendouzi on and tell Ozil he’ll never play for the club again
What a lift for the fans, the players, and the manager and for everyone at arsenal fc.
After a shite year.. I personally gave up hope, I switched off the telly, stopped reading arsenal news incl. Arseblog.. Sorry mate.. I questioned why I was supporting this dammed club.. Its such a bittersweet feeling for me. I think there’s a lot of work to do ahead.. But first lets celebrate a sweet victory over fucking chavski..

Great day, well done to the players!
Let’s hope this is the start of Arsenal moving up rather than the downwards trend of recent seasons.

Well that was fun to watch again!
And again and again and again…
What amazed me was Bellerin’s run for the 2nd goal. He FINALLY took command of a situation and showed his speed demon game. FINALLY. He took it forward with like 3-4 opposition players around him.
No one is seemingly talking about that moment but deserves huge credit. I wish him and others can show more of this.
For real, Hector at full speed is something else
Also props to Ceballos for winning the aerial ball(!) that got the move started
And for the crunching tackle from Christensen that played the ball perfectly to Pepe and took Christensen out of the rest of the play…
Side note. It was a bit of a shock seeing Gabi Martinelli still on crutches during the celebrations. Dam. What an unfortunate training ground injury. He could well miss most of the next season.

I agree with Guendouzi joining the celebrations. Ozil was said to be in Turkey. It means he did not want to be part of it.

Top post mate.
Is it right for a grown man to be buzzing like a 10 year old 24 hours later?
Victory intoxicates.?
