Agreed, Gabriel should start instead. With Tierney gone and Martinelli likely at LW, theres no left footer on the left side of the pitch. This lineup has shades of that Palace game which I called before as dysfunctional, and what do you know we created barely a shot on target.

A long-standing problem (quality-wise at least) really. The squad was, and remains, “lightweight” but it’s a good test for the others – albeit one that many of us would rather not be taking place in this game, but there we are. Fingers crossed (and let’s hope at least that Leno stays on the pitch for the whole game, Sod’s Law and all that).
If we “have to lose” (and somehow, we do) then I’ll take losing to those that will probably finish over us anyway – I’d rather take 16 from 18 from those we’re battling for 4th.
I think battling for fourth is still a bit of an ask, frankly. I’d be very happy if we did manage it but an automatic EL place is more realistic this season.

He’s right. 3-0 may be a bit strong but it will likely be a defeat. We are too injury prone and lacking in depth quality to sustain a challenge. I’d love to be wrong but can’t see it. Tierney, Saka and Auba are 3 of our best players. Of course this happens against them while they retain a fully fit squad.
ManUre are second in the penalties granted this season – 6- so defenders need to be a bit careful.
