There was a considerable amount of excitement when Arsenal signed Salah-Eddine last summer, with the Dutch youth international arriving from Feyenoord with a reputation for being a very talented player.
Salah-Eddine started off well at Arsenal, going straight into the U23 side despite being eligible to play for the U18s, and he also featured against Ipswich Town in the EFL Trophy.
Then the youngster suffered a serious injury in September which has meant that he hasn’t played since.
Thankfully, Salah-Eddine has finally returned to full training with the U23s and it is hoped that he will be able to make an impact at that level before the end of the season.
The 17-year-old is capable of operating as an attacking midfielder or out wide, and his creative qualities could be very useful for the U23s as they look to avoid relegation.
Salah-Eddine has already trained with the first-team and is very highly regarded at London Colney, so it is possible that he could be involved with the senior squad in some capacity next season.
Right now, however, he will simply be determined to impress for the U23s.

Excellent news!!!
I already wondered what happened to him. Heard bits of him in the beginning and then nothing. Good to hear it with Cottrell beeing injured. I hear from Deluded Gooner that Nelson is not doing well in the U-23s. That makes me concerned. I just hope they stay in the league. I don’t want to think what the second U-23s league looks like. I hope that another one or two can make it through the academy next year. Atleast getting more involved than Balogun this year.
Up The Arsenal!
