Matt Smith has joined Doncaster Rovers on loan for the duration of the 2021-22 season.
The midfielder, who won an FA Cup winners medal when we beat Chelsea in the final in August 2020, spent the last campaign out on loan too, having spells with Swindon Town and later Charlton Athletic.
He told the official Doncaster Rovers site, “I’m buzzing. I’m really looking forward to the season it’s my second season now in league one so I know what to expect.
“I worked with the manager at Swindon Town and Doncaster play the right way and a way that suits me as a player, so it was a no-brainer to come here especially in the development of my career.
“Hopefully, now I’ve come in here we’ll push on and do well this season.”
Best of luck to him in League One next season.
Best of luck to him. He will surely become a decent pro at some stage.
More medals than Harry Kane.
Matt Smith (the name) sounds like a Mondeo driver who’s favourite album is the greatest hits of David Gray and in a restaurant would order a steak well done.
Dave Hicks is a good friend of his. They help each other put the gazebo up on the weekend.
Best of luck to him.
Things moving along it seems.
to him. He looks like Quagmire from family guy in that photo, though. Giggity Giggity Goo!
