I agree on the need for another midfielder- even if leah slots into midfield, may leave us short on CB (boye, lotte, patten). Depends on how fit jen is. What about schnaderbek? Any news on her? She can slot in quite a few positions.

On the new signings:
Parris- i personally hope she would be very motivated to set things straight after lyon.

But yup, maanum is the exciting signing, and a real coup given the interest in her.

Fun Gunner

If there is an exciting young midfielder brought in then great, but I don’t think we *need* anyone. Viki Schnaderbeck and Leah Williamson can step in from time to time as no 6s because we are so well stocked in defence. We have a decent size squad for a change and JE will be able to change games using our bench. I’m very happy – even with a few players out injured we look good in every area. But we’re going to have a great looking bench (if we manage to stay a bit more… Read more »

Yokomichi

I can see how everyone is excited about Maanum. Technique wise, I love how she’s confident with her outside kick, which means she doesn’t need to take that extra step after a turn to pass the ball with an inside kick. This split second makes a huge difference.

BTW Tim, minor point but Iwabuchi is 28. She’ll turn 29 next March. But no she’s not 22.
