Dundee United have signed Tim Akinola on loan for the rest of the season.
The 20-year-old midfielder, who joined the Gunners from Huddersfield in the summer of 2020, moves north of the border to get his first taste of senior football.
Akinola has been a mainstay in Kevin Betsy’s under-23s this season and regularly trains with the first team.
We’re not entirely sure about the specifics of his contract situation at Arsenal. There was talk of us extending his current deal, which ends in the summer, by a further year but nothing official has been announced. Perhaps we’ve done it on the sly.
He could make his debut in the Dundee derby tomorrow.
Best of luck in Scotland, Tim!
