Arsenal Women draw Coventry United at home in FA Cup quarter-finals

Arsenal Women have been drawn to play against Championship side Coventry United in the FA Cup quarter-final, with the tie to be played on Sunday, 20th March. The two teams have never met before. Coventry United were close to bankruptcy at the end of 2021 before they were rescued by a local businessman.

The Gunners booked their place in the 6th round after a resounding 4-0 win at Championship leaders Liverpool on Sunday. The Gunners have not won the competition since 2016 when they beat Chelsea in the final, they have lost two finals to Chelsea since then, including in last season’s competition.

The full draw is as follows
Chelsea v Birmingham City
Arsenal v Coventry United
Manchester City v Everton
Ipswich v West Ham

It completes a busy March schedule for Jonas Eidevall’s side across three competitions. March now looks like this.

2nd March: Reading (H)- WSL
6th March: Birmingham City (H)- WSL
13th March: Brighton & Hove Albion (a)- WSL
20th March: Coventry United (H)- FAC
23rd March: Wolfsburg (H)- UWCL
26th March: Tottenham Hotspur (H)- WSL
31st March: Wolfsburg (a)- UWCL

I don’t think it’s a draw against Coventry, I reckon we’ll beat them…
