On the positive side, we can really use the goal threat of ESR today, who will be eager to show he belongs in the starting 11.

Marti is a big miss as he is the only one who creates a real disturbance. Saka has become predictable cutting inside. The squad is thin. Villa are capable of being poor or superb. Lets hope for the former

I must say I’m not very confident in a win here. I think it’s a game too soon after the Liverpool exertions
I like Ramsdale but we won’t “miss” him. The difference in quality between him and Leno has been exaggerated by Leno playing with Mustafi-Sokratis-Luiz and Ramsdale playing with Gabriel-White.
Not having one of Martinelli or Smith-Rowe from the bench in a game that’s going to be tough on the legs after pool, against a physically strong and well drilled Villa side is a big worry for me.
The difference in quality between Ramsdale and Leno is their distribution. Both are world class keepers though.
I wouldn’t go as far as to say ramsdale is world class but he’s certainly a billion times better then leno who’s very dodgy.
