Can we go one better than Chelsea last week please?
Leicester obviously were better organised this week, restricting Arsenal to one first half goal, but it became obvious that they’d run out of puff at some point, and so it proved.
In defeat against Wolfsburg, I thought that the players who emerged with credit were Williamson, Little and Wubben-Moy, if only because they seemed to love the ball. Today, Williamson and Little looked tired, which was affecting their passing. Leah in particular kept attempting “eye of needle” passes which didn’t come off. But it’s no accident that our bad spell this season coincided with Williamson’s absence.
Not sure Leah was “all there” midway through the second half when she almost got knocked out by the ball hitting her in the side of the head! How the blatant push in the back that caused it was not a foul and therefore a penalty I don’t know!
