Arsenal have confirmed that Tyreece John-Jules has joined Ipswich Town on loan for the 2022/23 campaign.
The England under-21 international moves to Portman Road in the hope of kick-starting his career at senior level following last season’s injury-hit spells with Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday.
The striker is no stranger to League One having also featured for Blackpool and Lincoln City in the last couple of years.

Reflecting on the move, John Jules said: “The way that Ipswich play suits me. The style of play was an important decision for me as a loan player.
“I’ve played in League One before so hopefully I’ll get used to it quickly and score some goals for the team.
“Last season was one of my worst with the injury but I’m hoping I’ll bounce back this season. I’m back fit now and ready to get going.”
The Gunners are set to loan out a whole host of Academy graduates before the transfer window closes.
Omar Rekik and Harry Clarke have already joined Sparta Rotterdam and Stoke City respectively, Mika Biereth is due to sign for RKC Waalwijk and Miguel Azeez is being linked with clubs in Spain.
What’s up with the sponsor logo? Oh dear I thought it was some calculator’s brand…
Their shirt is sponsored by Ed Sheeran at promote his Mathematics tour
The company is bodmas
I upvoted this thinking it was a great joke. Then I found that it wasn’t a joke 😂
Yeah, no joke. The symbols are the names of his albums and he often wears the shirt while performing on tour. It’s not a bad looking shirt, if it wasn’t blue…
It’s algebra and calculus all in one.😄
Excellent choice. The most important issue to consider in loans is playing time. But staying in England is very important too as the style of play is much more physical than elsewhere in Europe.
I’ve always liked him as a player but he’s had a horrible time with injuries. Here’s hoping that’s all behind him now and he can get a good season of playing time and some goals. Good luck to him, hopefully this is the positive loan that he needs and deserves.
Off topic, but any news on Auston Trusty, the player we signed from Colorado Rapids in January? Isn’t he finished with his loan and meant to join us now?
He played in their most recent game over the weekend so I’m not sure.
He is on loan with the Rapids until the 17th of July.
The MLS season will still be ongoing then (14 games played as to date) though.
Hopefully he gets a good transfer after this season. I would be amazed to see him in an Arsenal shirt next year. Would be great and would tell me his injury woes are past him. But I just hope he can build a good Pro career somewhere in England. Wish him the best for the year.
Spain will be interesting for Azeez.
Michael Azeez?
Now there’s a name I’d nearly forgotten.🧐
Miguel
Thanks!
