For the first time, Arsenal Women season tickets have sold out. The club have sold 1,500 season passes, double the amount they sold last season.
In the past, the club have capped season ticket sales at 1,000 for their 4,000 capacity stadium at Boreham Wood. Super powered by England Lionesses’ Euro 2022 victory, the club lifted that cap to 1,500 for 2022-23 and sold all tickets within a few hours of putting them on general sale.
Meanwhile, the North London derby which will be played at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, 24th September at 1.30pm, had sold 16,000 tickets and the club are confident of being able to at least sell out the lower tier for the match.
Tickets for that game are available here. You can also listen to a recent episode of the Arsenal Women Arsecast where Tim talks to Emirates Stadium Venue Director Tom McCann around the club’s strategy and decision to play more women’s games at Emirates Stadium.
Time for a new stadium
The old girl does need a facelift, no doubt about it. 2007 only seems like yesterday, but the stadium says otherwise. If recent reports are to be believed, the club have set aside funds to start the process. Just hoping we can make the red actually RED – as in scarlet – and not orange bordering on salmon pink and the white actually WHITE and not cream….? The Past Players Huddle corners are seriously weathered and need replacing. By that I mean the materials and not the players in question! And the seats are very weathered and colour faded and… Read more »
Couldn’t agree more. Boreham Wood ain’t that great (pitch alone)
I like standing on the north bank, but if I want to take my (little) nephew’s it’s hard to get a seat & then I’ve got grumpy nephew’s.
Food stands are the slowest ‘fast’ food I’ve encountered in my life!
If the girls were playing in a more modern stadium with better facilities, I think they might realistically aim for 8-10k every league game – surely the next big step!
Need to fill this one first! Every match.
On the up ☝️Arsenal women fc
About time! When you see the kind of crowd clubs like Barca, PSG, and even Juventus women can pull, Engljsh clubs pale in comparison. But looks like the successful Euros is going to do WSL clubs a huge favour moving forward!
All those clubs you named don’t pull any numbers better than the English clubs. It was a one off in the Champions League. Their League games after were underwhelming. English teams are going to even get better attendances as time goes by. But i actually prefer Sold out WSL matches than UWCL one. One is every week, the other is every month.
That great for business and women football in general.
Good luck this season ladies.
You deserved the title last season and Chelsea were lucky.
Go one better this time and take it off them.
Who is the girl to the far left, next to number 15?
McCabe
Sorry, misread that, Wienroither
If you mean the woman who is crouching in front of Katie McCabe (no 15), that’s our RB Laura Wieroither, who has had a very good Euros. The woman with the blonde ponytail also crouching but turned away from the camera is Stine Blackstenius, striker. The tall woman standing behind her is Viv Miedema, previously our main striker but now playing as a no 10.
Legends !!! Statues please.
Good job I renewed mine & picked up one for my cuz when they sent the email then!
Fantastic news!
I already had a season ticket but I’m going to make sure I go a lot more often this season.
I tried to buy a season ticket on the Arsenal website but it kept coming up “Error, only one entry per user is allowed.” I emailed the club yesterday and still waiting for a response.
