Arsenal U21s are back in action tomorrow afternoon when they face Tottenham away at the latter’s training ground.
Mehmet Ali’s side remain unbeaten in the league this season, but they have won just one of their last five games in all competitions.
Joel Ideho will be looking to keep his place in the starting lineup at the expense of Charles Sagoe Jr, with the Dutchman having produced some impressive performances in recent games.
Midfielders Matt Smith and Catalin Cirjan could also be back involved with the U21s after being on the bench for the first-team in the Europa League.
Arsenal will hope that Nathan Butler-Oyedeji will be able to get on the scoresheet, with the forward having missed a few opportunities to find the net in recent games.
Going into this game Arsenal are in third place in the Premier League 2 table, behind Manchester City and Crystal Palace.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are languishing in the relegation zone having taken just three points from their seven games so far.
Arsenal won’t be taking anything for granted, however, and will be determined to produce an impressive display.
Meanwhile, the U18s are also in action tomorrow as they host Aston Villa in the Premier League Cup.
Arsenal lost their opening game in this competition to Newcastle, so they will be eager to bounce back.
Ethan Nwaneri, deployed as a false nine, played a crucial part in the U18s’ victory over Norwich last time out, but it remains to be seen which level he will be playing at this weekend.

Thanks Jeorge, it was encouraging to see Cirjan included in yesterday’s squad and seeing him warm up alongside Smith for most of the second half, with four more Europa and a League Cup ties for Arsenal to negotiate before the pre-World Cup break we’ll hopefully see a couple more youngsters earn their debuts. How is Reuell Walters shaping since he returned from injury?
Walters has done ok. Hopefully he can get a lot of games at right back for the U21s now.
How many times do we have to beat these bastards this month. Haven’t they had enough embarrassment? 😂😂😂
Guys, make it three in a row. Jo fears. North London is Red!
*No fears.
The ladies’ team has done it, the men’s team did it, now it’s your turn lads…smash the spuds!
