Mohamed Elneny is back in training two months after he was sidelined by a hamstring injury.
The Egypt international picked up the problem in the 2-1 win over Fulham and it was thought he might be out until the end of the year.
It remains to be seen whether the 30-year-old is fit enough to challenge for a first team place before the season breaks for the World Cup.
Hopefully, he’ll be available in some capacity with Arsenal facing five games in the next two weeks to bring to a close a punishing recent schedule.
In a post on Instagram, Mo wrote: “Surprise, I’m back. #Ready to Fight.”
He also included some eMOjis. 😃😍💪🏻

Big boost for us. His experience in the middle of the park will definitely be a plus for us. Not the flashiest player you will ever see but he does a job for the team. Let’s hope we can see him before the WC break.
A timely boost ahead of Zurich and Brighton midweek cup games.
Welcome back Mo.
Under rated player.
Not really got the wow factor but follows the boss’ instructions
Glad to have you back earlier the thought, Mo! More glad that TP remained relatively injury-free most of the period, Mo was out. This is almost an unarsenal kinda miracle. Maybe the universe is finally conspiring to propel us to an unlikely big feat this season.
*than thought
TP was injured though for almost a month. Hence why we bid for Douglas Luiz.
Old Trafford may have been different had we had either TP or Elneny.
Welcome back mo
We need an extra body in midfield
TP and Elneny have DM covered and Sambi is a decent enough squad player.
Remains to be seen if Elneny is upgraded in the summer or offered another one year deal.
Further up the pitch though, Xavi Simons surely would have impressed Arteta and Edu. There’s a phenomenal talent there, 19 years old, can seem to play centrally or on the wing, and has an eye for a goal and assist.
PSG have a buy back clause. Be amazed if they didn’t use it.
PSG have a clause that can only be activated if he actually wants to go back to PSG.
Kind of…..I don’t know the full legalaties of it, but if PSG wanted to activate the clause – if he didn’t want to go back to them, it would be a lot more complicated for him to go somewhere else than if there wasn’t a buy back clause presumably.
Ah, that makes sense. I was wondering how PSV got him on a free transfer.
He (Xavi) might prefer a move to England’s PL competition, it’s totally up to the player where and when he wants to go. The PL is much better than ligue 1. It’s harder to prove yourself a top player in the PL
Zinchenko would play in midfield aswell. I agree an extra body wouldn’t hurt
Sambi needs to be playing every week. At Arsenal or elsewhere
Zinky is looking like another Tierney, availability wise. Was hoping for more from him. Cheers to Mo, tho!
Christmas comes early for the Arsenal! Welcome back king Mo. In other news Mo Salah FC has been torn a new one in front of the kop hahaha insufferable wankers
There is no Christmas this year until Saka, Saliba, and Martinelli sign new contracts.
Liverpool losing at home, that’s Halloween come early.
Despite his limitations going forward, Mo is the perfect stand-in when Partey is injured or needs a rest. His ability to help lock the back door is invaluable.
We should not renew after thus season. Not good enough to fight for title or Top4
Depends on the business we do in that part of the pitch and if Edu brings a replacement in this January?
Driver, this is not the Howard Johnson!
Great news; his experience will continue to be invaluable.
Good. Better than Sambi.
LANS
Welcome back, Mo!
Never thought I’d say this but thank f*ck for Mo!
It’s all hands/feet to the pumps at present so good timing there. Let’s hope he’s match-fit soon.
Some players like Reiss may need some game time and patience to fully prove their maturity. I think he has just shown that with more game time we may not need to worry too much about someone to provide competition for Saka.
