Arsenal have confirmed that striker Mika Biereth has joined Motherwell on loan for the season.
The 20-year-old moves north of the border to gain more experience of senior football having spent the last campaign at Dutch side RKC Waalwijk. He made 12 appearances in the Eredivisie, scoring twice.
The former Fulham player has also represented Denmark’s under-19s on five occasions, scoring twice, and played two friendlies for his country’s under-21s.
Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell certainly sounds happy to have recruited a talent who was wanted by several clubs before he joined Arsenal in 2021.
“I think anyone looking at Mika’s goalscoring history, can see why we were interested in him,” he told the club’s website.
“He has scored goals at every stage of his young career, including a first-team spell in the Netherlands.
“Mika is an exciting young talent for the future and I feel this loan move is the perfect next step for him to show what he can do.
“I also want to go on record and say how appreciative we are of Arsenal’s cooperation throughout the process of getting this deal done.”
Best of luck to Mika in Scotland.

Your mother we’ll be proud
Have extremely high hopes for this young man.
He’s a ruthless finisher.
I wish Mika well. I hope his Mother will guide him to Kettle well quickly and he can take everyone’s Biereth away.
