Jonas Eidevall has made two changes from Wednesday’s 3-0 win over Linköping with Steph Catley coming in for Katie McCabe at left-back and Stina Blackstenius starting ahead of Alessia Russo upfront.
Manu Zinsberger starts in goal with a back four of Maritz, Ilestedt, Wubben-Moy and Catley, while Walti, Little and Maanum start in midfield. Cloe Lacasse and Caitlin Foord retain their places either side of Stina Blackstenius upfront.
LINE-UP (4231); 1.Zinsberger; 16.Maritz, 28.Ilestedt, 3.Wubben-Moy, 7.Catley; 10.Little(c), 13.Walti; 24.Lacasse, 12.Maanum, 19.Foord; 25.Blackstenius.

Spreading the load while trying to keep some continuity.
I’m looking forward to seeing more of Lacasse and her slaloming runs into the penalty area.
Come on Arsenal!
Yeah, Cloe Lacasse has won me over as one of her admirers! Good eyes @FunGunner; good eyes.
Let’s go. Keeping the strikers hungrier and on their toes with this rotation. Love eet. LFG!
We have such a strong bench now and to think we still have arguably our three best players to return from injury!
Just watching the halftime video features…
I know they are from different countries but nobody can convince me that Lina Hurtig, Martin Odegaard and Niklas Bendtner (remember him?) are not related. They have to be long-lost cousins or something.
The competition in the WSL this season will be massive.
Jonas Eidevall should be sacked now before it’s too late..
Man is not Arsenal’s standard.
What a daft comment
Just got knocked out by a team nobody’s heard of.
I’m really very sorry for the daft comment. 🙌
Jonas Eidevall should be given more time to keep on bottling the club’s opportunities. 🙃
The season hasn’t started yet…..
Extra time. Well done for pulling it back, girls.
What an utter failure from the Eidevall! Two goals gifted to us and Russo stepping up to take it to pks and we lose a game of chance.
Out of the UWCL before the group stages is embarrassing given all the money the club has given Jonas to spend this summer and he doesn’t prepare the team for these game properly. Did he think they were going to win these games 5-0?
You know for a fact he didn’t prepare the team properly do you? You were there at the training and coaching sessions? Some times teams have an off day, it happens. They didn’t play well and lost! You have no idea what training and coaching has been done between the two matches. Instead you just make a knee jerk reaction, the team lost to a team they should have beaten so it must be Jonas’s fault. Paris FC played out of their skin, took superb penalties and their goalie was/is excellent. None of which is anything to do with Jonas… Read more »
Agree Bill – it’s completely off the mark to blame Jonas. Our players played well enough although it seemed (from my PC) that not all were fully fired up for the task – but the French girls were very physical – to put it politely, whilst the Referee & lineswomen appeared not of CL standard – for example, their joking at the toss up before penalties looked very unprofessional. Alessia Russo scored a sensational goal, and I feel if Kuhl had been brought on with the other substitutes at half-time we would have won it in normal time. And the… Read more »
Utter failure based on VERY sloppy play by the ladies? I’m aware that the head coach eventually bears the brunt but for how long was the team together to prepare? Some of them didn’t have adequate rest after the World Cup! Yeah, it was SO painful😑 to see us give the ball away repeatedly but the boat has sailed now. Onto the WSL and domestic cup competitions now.
You think when Chelsea have games at Stamford Bridge on CL nights this season we’ll be fine with Conti Cup group games? Are you joking? This is monumentally a disastrous start to the season. Out of the Champion League!! The lose of money from those packed out home games at the Emirates alone is going to be huge. How much is Russo making per year, how much has been offered to Earp? Miedema is going to renew or will she leave because she said if Arsenal didn’t make CL then she’d look at her options. This is a massive failure.… Read more »
That’s what the Gary’s of this world miss. Some of the players have only had a few days training since returning from the World Cup which was held on the other side of the planet if you hadn’t noticed, and in that time we were meant to get everyone up to speed, including several new signings! Getting back into the game 2-2 then 3-3 shows real tenacity. Ok we lost on penalties but that is always a lottery anyway. Remember as far back as Wednesday? Even Kim missed one! The real culpability must lie squarely at the doors of UEFA… Read more »
