French side Lorient have signed Gilles Sunu from Arsenal on a four year deal and also snapped up Costa Rican striker Joel Campbell on a season long loan.
Sunu spent last term, along with Francis Coquelin, under the stewardship of boss Christian Gourcuff and appears to have been released by Arsene Wenger having had limited first team opportunities.
The decision to loan Campbell to the Ligue 1 outfit has been forced on Arsenal after the 19-year-old failed in his attempt to seal the necessary work permit. The scenario precipitated the acquisition of Korean international Chu Young Park.
Henri Lansbury is another man who will garner further experience away from the Emirates. West Ham United have sealed a season-long loan deal for the England under-21 international and will help Sam Allardyce fill the vacuum left by the departed Scott Parker.

Shame, I have always rated Lansbury, and hoped he would be given a chance this season. It is alarming considering we are lacking in central midfielders yet more of them are departing.
Now there are less midfielders than there were after the Man U game!
Hoping there is a plan B by Arsene.
That makes two of us.
I just hope there’s a plan!
plan B? more like plan 9 i.e. it’s crap
[…] Per Mertesacker is set to join Arsenal finally, subjected to formalities! Sunu and Joel Campbell has joined Lorient permanently and on a season loan respectively, while Lansbury has joined the Hammers for a season loan. Share this:TwitterFacebookLike this:LikeBe […]
I hear we’re about to sign Titus Bramble…. Please, please pleeeeese let this be true!!!!!
Plan b ….doubt he even has his album
Plan B dont be silly we have loads of players dont worry !!!
The tight sphinctered board of CUNTS…
Benayoun…my arse….
Arteta…my arse….
Board are CUNTS of the highest order…
Now THAT’S a true fan.
So now it looks like benyoun what a fucking shambles I’m more angry at this than had ww signed no one at all this window. What the fuck is happening to our club for fuck sake. We are a joke led by a bunch of money grabbing tossers. Jesus I can’t believe this all the good work of the defence down the drain grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr cunts
Er why the negativity he’s a decent player !! As long as we get another midfielder as well!! Schneider c’mon plse be Schneider !!
Its about opinions mate and he ain’t good enough fact nor is diaby song rosicky arshavin he ain’t good enough for a shirt number at Chelsea so why the fuck is he good enough for us. Cos he cheap that’s why. Total disgrace
Not a lot wrong with Banayoun for the short term, very creative player, capeable of real magic.
Dos Santos fits the bill and is miles better than Traore.
Mertesacker is better than Cahill, Samba & Dann combined. Thierry respective clubs & managers can go fuck themselves.
If we get arteta then all forgiven and no cahill for spurs lol I can feel a song coming on. Smiles are back on face
Fingers crossed we don’t fuck up Arteta deal. Hopefully he doesn’t have Barcelona DNA!
Arteta deal is off 🙁
I refuse to take leftovers from Chelsea.
Benayoun is shite. PERIOD.
Get some fukn proper creative players in our midfield or our good signings in defense mean f’all
We NEED to replace cesc and nasri!
The board is fukn around to save cash
arteta is a quality signing and 10 million is great business. Hard working striker to replace lifeless Chamakh and Bentdner will prove he’s worth keeping by scoring goals at Sunderland and not playing on the wings.
Santos is a skillfull left back who will at least provide competition for Gibbsy whilst the 6ft6 cb is the signing of the window. a player who can handle tevez, messi, aguero and higuain in the same line up. composure and ability on the ball as well as bravery. fuck all the haters. in arsene we trust.
