Aaron Ramsey could return for Arsenal’s match with Blackburn Rovers after missing Tuesday’s Champions League showdown with Borussia Dortmund. The 20-year-old midfielder picked up an ankle knock against Swansea but will have a test today to determine his progress.
While Thomas Vermaelen, Jack Wilshere and Abou Diaby remain sidelined, the Gunners will be able to call upon Alex Song and Gervinho with both players finally free from domestic suspension.
Speaking to assembled media ahead of Saturday’s trip to Ewood Park, Wenger gave his latest fitness update:
“Ramsey had a little test today [Thursday] and will practice tomorrow, he has a little chance to be available.
“Vermaelen is progressing very well and will be available after the next international break.
Asked about Jack Wilshere’s progress, the Frenchman remained coy on giving a definite return date:
“I cannot give you any news because he is in a boot for one month. The test will come after those four weeks.”
Hey guys.
I am stoked that Andy ‘The Face’ Ramsey is so close to a return for the mighty London town Gun Squad!
When little Jack Wilson and Thomas Verminski return, also, our squad will be the greatest lookng in the whole Barclays Top Division.
Super stoked.

Fact = Vermailen & Wilshire are big players and essentially 2 parts of the new Arsenal spine. Due to injuries/suspensions/transfers he is being asked to play important minutes and make telling contributions when in reality, he was thankful just to get some game time and minutes under his belt towards the end of last year. My point is I think there is too much pressure and expectation on this lad’s shoulders already. He… Read more »
