Chuks Aneke looks set to join Crewe Alexdra on loan.
As reported on Wednesday, Crewe were looking at two Arsenal youngsters, and the talented midfielder will continue his development at the League One side.
Crewe’s boss, Steve Davis, told their official site, “Chuks has been brought up the right way at Arsenal. We all know they play the right way and we try to do something similar here so we think he will fit in.
“We are hoping the move will suit us both. He is at the time of his career where he needs games and that is why he has come here. He is a big powerful lad and I hope he will excite the fans.
“He is also very versatile and can play across the four up front or in the two in midfield. It is his versatility that attracted us to him as well. I spoke to Steve Bould about him and Noel Blake, who worked with him throughout the England youth set-up and they both speak very highly of him.
“If everything goes well and we get Premier League clearance then we could be involved tomorrow. I had a chat with him yesterday about things when he came up in the afternoon and he is a good fella and just wants to play games.”

Crewe is a good destination for him. Reputation for bringing through talented youngsters from their academy, they have really good facilities and from what I’ve seen a hardworking mentality. Good luck to him, this is a great opportunity.
