Crewe eye Aneke loan extension

Crewe Alexandra have confirmed that they’ll talk to Arsenal before deciding whether to extend Chuks Aneke’s loan spell.

The young Gunner, who made his debut for the club in last season’s League Cup tie against Shrewsbury, initially moved to the Alexandra Stadium on a month long loan in September but has since earned two further extensions with manager Steve David happy to accommodate the attacking midfielder and his eye for goal.

With six goals to his name and a number of assists Davis told the Crewe official website that it was tempting to try and keep the 19-year-old given his obvious quality.

“Chuks loan agreement is up and we will speak with Chuks and Arsenal to see what their feelings are on it. Chuks has been here for three months, away from London and his family and friends, so we will see how he feels at staying on.

“He is a young and talented lad. He has got great ability and will only get better with experience. He can create and score goals and I think he has gained a lot from the experience. He has settled in well and is popular with the lads and around the club.

“He has his weaknesses as well. He knows he has to be better when we are not in possession. We have spoke about him being more of a team player and helping defensively.

“He played really well against Bradford. He came on and changed the game. He has scored six goals and is out second leading scorer, so we have been pleased with his impact.”

As things stand Arsenal have 12 players officially contracted to other clubs on a temporary basis; including Nicklas Bendtner despite him being out for the season injured. However, unlike in years gone by the majority appear to be in exile as part of a wage cutting exercise rather than away from N5 as part of their football development.

Good on him. I’d like to see him make a step up to the Championship or the Premiership though…

Nicolae

He is better than Giroud and Llorente..in my FIFA13 career mode!
On a serious note him instead of Arshavin would still make a difference as we be playing 11 vs 11

Yeiy! atleasy Aneke can get his club to extend his loan, Frimpong didn’t prove worthy enough for his loan contract to be extended at Charlton!, yet he was on the Arsenal (a top top club in europe?) bench. Shambles is what that is, absolute fucking shambles.

Get us some signings Wenger or fuck you and fuck off.

i want to boff giroud and im not even gay

No!!!! Call him back to arsenal!!!! LANS!!!!

Goon

We have so many talented midfielders. We need to sell this summer as much as sign.

I know this is a bit `meh` but I think a lot of people miss the point of these kind of articles. I dread to think what will happen if AW makes no signing this January (which will likely happen). I think some people will just spontaneously combust in a fireball of fury.

Anyone seen much of him this season? I mean, his stats look good (6 goals and 4 assists in 21 appearances) but sometimes they don’t tell the whole story. I see the Diaby/Yaya comparisons have been made which, while predictable, are promising…
