Laurent Koscielny has hailed Olivier Giroud’s good form telling media in France that his teammate is looking very confident in front of goal.
Speaking ahead of France’s World Cup qualifier with Georgia, the centre-back had only good things to say about a man who has scored four goals in five games this season.
“It’s true that Olivier has started the new season with a bang. During pre-season he scored a lot of goals so you feel he’s confident.
“We always say that you improve in your second season in England so I hope he keeps going, both for him and especially Arsenal.”
Meanwhile, Bacary Sagna is hoping that his form at Arsenal can be replicated at international level even if that means challenging for a centre-back spot with Les Bleus.
Eager to give manager Didier Deschamps a headache ahead in the build-up to the World Cup in Brazil, the defender explained that he’s desperate to regain his place.
“My goal is to put the coach in trouble by giving the maximum for the jersey and my France teammates.
“I’m happy to play in any position. I’ve been playing as a centre-back at Arsenal having moved from the right. [Lilian] Thuram did the same in the past and I don’t see why I can’t do it too.”
If ade reached 30 goals in one season for us, i dont see why Giroud wont. He has the midfield to support him and is way better.
I feel the same, I really didn’t think Giroud would bring his pre-season form to this season but he really has. So much so my mate a Chelsea fan made Giroud his captain in fantasy football and hes raking in points!
well it was a no brainer for me. i made him captain of all my fantasy league teams. with Ozil around now i guess i have to drop carzola and choose him.

Giroud, Walcott and Cazorla are the golden triumverate of fantasy football.
Now Özil is in I’m also not sure whether to replace one of them. I might leave it for now in case it takes him time to settle.
i think as a fantasy premier league manager, i will stick with giroud upfront, and walcott. Giroud will benefit the most, and walcott follows. I mean in Ozil you got a provider who will give giroud and theo 100 through balls a season, and walcott is really clinical nowadays. So expect Giroud and Theo to shine, and shine, and shine… COYG

We haven’t seen the best of Giroud yet. He did make a few errors against Sp*rs with his first touch not being as good as usual. But he is using his strength really well. His good form will also help take some pressure off Sanogo, who I think will soon be giving Giroud a run for his money.
Hopeful prediction: Santi to feel pressured by Ozil arrival. He ups his game and wins us the champions league, uefa player of the year is between 3 Arsenal players and RVP begs for for a transfer out of Moyes hell…..we can all dream cant we 🙂

It’s no bad thing gives everyone a chance to get a breather and knocks 2 weeks off the injury waiting list of all the lads. Hopefully the momentum we’ve been picking up won’t stall but with the Ozil (still can’t work out umlauts on this bloody keyboard) signing boost I think we’ll be fine. I suppose the big downside is having to wait to see our new no.11! Germany game will be getting alot more North London/international gooner viewers me thinks!

I think our team is much stronger than last season, not just cause of the players that came but with the players that left. Gervinho and Santos were like game losers and the fact that Wenger persisted with him to give him a chance meant that the better player Ox didnt get no time. I think we have better depth this season than last cause we can have players like wilshere, monreal, vilviano, TV5, Podolski and rosicky on the bench without sacrificing our first teams strength. Im just hoping TV5 regains his form cause form is temporary class is permanent… Read more »
