After Arsene Wenger refused to get carried away with Serge Gnabry’s derby performance, the youngster has followed suit and declared himself ‘satisfied’, but no more than that.
It seems he’s got a head as mature as his feet as he told the official website, “I’m just grateful that I’ve put in a good performance. I think that as well I’ve done, I can always do better.”
It’s a refreshing attitude from a player who is just 18. In similar circumstances youngsters at Arsenal, and at other clubs, would have already commissioned some monogrammed boots, ordered a new car, and reserved the VIP section of an up-market nightclub to fill with their entourage because it would have been proof that they’d made it.
Gnabry, however, knows he’s got more to prove and to show Arsene Wenger he deserves more playing time.
“It was great to have been given a start in such a big game. I tried to have an impact going forwards and am happy that I could help the team to win with the assist for our first goal.
“I hope that I can show what I can do and that the team could need me, from then it is up to the manager.”
We’re also fans of his hybrid German crossed with Aliadiere London accent. Check out the full interview here.
Hoping to see more of the lad now Walcott’s out for a month. That and because I can get him for cheap on fantasy.
Adnan Januzaj on the other hand has been rushed to hospital after being poked on facebook
It was later revealed that Janzuaj wasn’t even poked.
However, Moyes and SAF insisted that he definitely was, and that the public and facebook had got it wrong.
SAF continued to argue that he could have been killed.
”He could have died!”

6 months.
6 months 🙁
SERGE FORWARD YOUNG ONE!
…..sorry 🙁
don’t apologize
its too late to apologise
Hope he Gnabs his chance.
These puns about Bry are getting quite cheesy
Great, I’ve watched his performance against sp*rs 3 times already, can’t wait to see more of this talent!
Gnabry’s performance against Swansea and 2p0rs go along way in proving that we are a far superior team that we are given credit for. When you look at the fact that less talented players like Januzaj or Sterling play week in week for their respective clubs while Gnabry rarely even makes the bench, you begin to appreciate what a squad Wenger has assembled. He should be patient as I believe Wenger’s reluctance to give him a run a games with the first team is born out of sheer caution and not lack of confidence in his abilityf. Wenger has learned… Read more »
He injects some sort of POWER SERGE into our attack.
and I am not sorry
I’ve played enough Football Manager to know that Serge is the wonderkid that will guide Arsenal to the European Champions Cup in 2019.
I am surprised that so many people are surprised at his talent. He was one of the major reason we won Swansea & Palace games. I think he was our best kept secret before Spurs game but now that word is out he will play more often.
Zelalem is our best kept secret. Wait till they let him out the bag!
dont tell anyone about park!! he’s our weapon for the CL final 🙂
Guys, he has mentioned Park again, you know what to do.
Park gives us the opportunity to enter the World Cup and win that.
yup..when we go 1-0 up and need to him the bus….
Zelalem was absolutely fantastic in the pre-season. Nice to have some really exciting prospects coming through.
I love seeing the arsenal team in suits before/after each game now, they look very sharp and classy
and oh so handsome (Ollie)
Lets not hype him up – i mean he’s clearly one of the greatest players that the game has ever seen, but he’s no bergkamp… yet
Gnabry looks to be a top top top class talent!!
Tell me more, Sherlock.
He’s a splendid young man and I was very impressed by his performance against Spurs at the weekend. The pass for Cazorla’s goal belied his tender years and he was always switched on defensively too. In a way it reminded me of the time I spent on my grandfather’s farm as a youngster. I would follow him around the fields all day, the summer sun turning me first a lobster red then a deep bronze, and he would tell me stories. Oh the stories. My favourite was the one about him being in the army during World War II and… Read more »
huh, save me the stories.. 🙂
You’re here to annoy me.

Just waiting for that game in the future with an in-form Ox and Gnab on either wing. It shall be glorious.
I Hope Gnabry gets a call up for the W/cup..
From what i have seen on arsenal player, that Dan Crowley looks like our best-kept secret. Very flashy but he has that intelligence too. Hope Wenger rates him and he keeps developing.

scored two and assisted 4 only 2 hours after I posted that.
The potential Crowley shows is amazing to watch, reminds me of watching Wilshere back in the day with the young guns. I don’t want to get too carried away because soo many have failed to make the mark but Crowley and Zelalem get me excited.
Please don’t say “Aliases” 😉
Please don’t say “Aliadiere” 😉
Please don’t say “Acumen” 😉
Got a nice run of fixtures coming up. Perfect opportunity for young Serge to grab a regular starting birth.
The car is already bought.

And still he put in a spledid performance. Don’t want to hype him to much, but seeing all the scums talk about their next big diver(Januzaj) and then back to Gnabry it’s hard not too.
if you look at him play for the u21s you could tell how how good his dribbling is but for the first team he always chooses the right moment to pass or shoot such maturity at this age for him already, and his attitude is first class i mean hes always willing to chase back or cover for Sagna. He is the German OX
Need to akpom and afobe them two players as well
The Germany youth system keeps on doing its thing…
As does the Arsenal youth system.
Gnabry has been an exciting prospect but he looks the complete player. Frightening to play him with his pace and technical skill. More rewarding is his maturity. he knows when to turn on the afterburner and when to play it simple. Think the squad have been hinting to us his improvements in training. With Walcott out, it’s his opportunity to step up. But let’s also not forget Ox who will come back in shortly. He could be another who will be instrumental in giving us more drive and pace. I don’t think most teams we face would be as open… Read more »
Gnabry could be the player we serge for walcott wider position.
Kudos to our German scouts for bringing exiting young talent to the attention of the club.
Unfortunate about Walcott, seemed like he was finding real maturity on the pitch of late, though I do feel we can cope with the loss. I do feel if we get another big injury in a forward position we could find ourselves a little light so someone who can do a job for 6 months wouldn’t hurt. The question is who?????
With Walcott out for the long term and the Ox unfit, I hope we have a SERGE protector ready. SERGE protector. Like the plugs. Anyone? I’ll get my coat…
The title is our destiny worry not Arsenal fans enjoy the journey!!!
