Arsene Wenger says Santi Cazorla is finding his form again after a difficult first half of the season. The Spaniard has had some injury issues, and had scored just once in 22 appearances.
But his recent spurt of 3 in his last 3 games is a sign that the former Malaga man is getting back to his best.
“He was out for a long time at the start of the season and had some injury problems,”he said. “After that he had an ankle problem and only recently, since mid-December, has he come back to his level.
“When you play in your opponents’ half, in the final third, he is one of the players who can create something special, either through his passing or through his finishing. He is two-footed, and that makes him very dangerous.”
Wenger was also pleased at his team’s response to a fairly flat first half in which they made Fulham look half decent.
“We were in control for the 90 minutes but a bit one-paced in the first half with our passing. In the second half when we got up a gear we scored the goals.
“Santi got two good goals and from then on we looked like we would get the points. We had a few more chances but overall in games against teams who fight not to go down, it is very difficult.
“Sometimes it is a question of patience.”
Then he laughed at Darren Bent and went off to get a bag of chips because he was quite hungry.
He obviously responded to the critics from that villa game(where he gave the ball away that led to their goal) in style.. Ohhhhhhhhho santi carzoooolaaaaa!
Workhorse.
It’s great that Cazorla and Wilshere are both playing well after their poor form earlier in the season. And soon we’ll have Ramsey back as well!
Santi … I love this Spanish Delight!
Whoop whoop!

Away fans, please wear as many of those as possible at Shit Swamp Lane.
They’re going to throw our away support with coins.
Does anyone have a video of Podolski’s reaction to getting to play?
Yep.

Good to see him on the score sheet again
Anyone know when we get Rambo back??
Per Arsene we hopefully get Aaron back for Coventry but more likely for Southampton right after.
Lol @ “….bag of chips…” *Le Boss,COYG!

Ah, so that explains Giroud’s gesture when celebrating with Cazorla.
I keep wondering if Puma had signed a contract with us a year or two before when we had Van Persie or Fabregas and we were able to spend big then, how many trophies would we have won.
“Sounds like somebody’s living in the past! Con-temporize man!” – Simpsons quotes have all the answers.
Chips ? It should be a great big dirty kebab with extra chilli sauce and a good laugh.
I don’t know what it takes for Ozil to actually turn up. He missed so many things today.
Perhaps you thought we signed a different player? This is how he plays for us and for Germany, and has played in the past for Real Madrid. Just because you can’t appreciate something, doesn’t mean it isn’t worth something.
I think him and Wilshere coming into form is going to be great for us. This is his 3rd goal in 3 games, so he can well finish this season with 12 goals. Also, there are more goals to come from ozil, wil, Ramsey and Podolski.
Solid game from Flamini. Thumbs up to Gnabry for shooting from distance today. That was brave.
I can exclusively reveal that Wenger had spam fritters and mushy peas with his chips.
Am glad Cazorla chose a different celebration style for the second goal. Excellent two feet that man.
Told ya he could keep the ball in a telephone booth!, remember on the edge of the area he absolutely skinned 3 players and when they were tired of watching, Sidwell hacked him down…..PELANTY! nah i mean FREEKICK!
If this season is anything to go by, it should have taught some people a lesson that we should not rush to judge players with knee jerk reactions. Not too long ago, people were castigating Koscielny for his flagrant red cards and penchant for own goals Metersecker was deemed too slow to cut it. Walcott was too poor with ball control to make any impact. Ramsey was too insipid (guilty). Jack, Ozil, Santi. Players come in and out of form. The critical thing is we have a good number of options in midfield (the engine) and the odds are that… Read more »
