Besides the goals (both were excellent, and always love to see a hometown boy making good), the thing that excites me the most is how le Coq was consistently handling Fellaini in the build up for most of our best chances.
For all the people saying, “Well, he’s had a big run, but he’s just not big enough to be a long-term solution at DM,” allow me to make an observation: If your primary task is to out-battle Marouane Fellaini, and you succeed decisively over the course of 90 minutes, you’re big enough to play DM for anyone.
We all knew about Le Coq since he was with our youth team when we won the 21 and he was at the time only 18 but you can see he was going to be good player. The only problem every time he was getting a chance at the first team he was getting injured. I was surprise last year we signed broke back KK in Jan and didn’t bring Le Coq back (maybe he was in a one year loan deal and we couldn’t bring him back). As for another holding midfielder, we should sign another one and I… Read more »
People who say he can’t be a long term solution at DM are morons. Makalele was not exactly a tall man himself. Mascharano, who Coquelin’s game reminds me of, is not a very tall man either. Coquelin does his job at a top level and that’s all that matters
You are right, it is an English meth that CDM has to be big and tall, few of the best CDMs in the world of football are not over 5.8. I can name you a few of them at a flake of a finger. Donga, Deschamp, Albertini, Gattuso, Alonso, Senna, Giress, Kross to hame a few.
Erm sir, Xabi alonso is quite tall. Agree with your point though.

Anyone know why Le Coq goes so berserk during the DiMaria sending off. He completely loses it and had to be held back ‘cos he wanted to clump someone, but why ?
And at times we need that.. you see how rooney hounds the referee every time.. we need that from our players.. as a captain per is too nice and doesnt do such things.. thats why arteta as a captain is really good.. he is good at getting freekicks and the opposition booked..

Did anyone watch the ECL game earlier?! Jheeze!!!!!!
Yeah, watched it and thought exactly the same thing!
Away at Monaco, it is going to be a tall order but we should not go there thinking its impossible. In one sense nothing to lose…as I said before, we go down and win 0-2 with our heads held high and that will be great for the spirit of the club and the rest of the season…
If Shalke have unwittingly taken on our mantle of “Team most likely to blow it at home before achieving a brave yet futile away win in the return” then I am very happy indeed about that
3-0 win next week it is, then

Man Utd should be renamed Diving Cunts FC. And if it weren’t for De Gea, we would’ve won 4-1.
He’s not a cunt for doing his job as a GK. Please dont let your hate for United cloud your appreciation for a great goalkeeper. Neuer maybe the best ever, but De Gea wont be too far off if he continues like this.
You have got to love Le Coq’s celebration when Monreal scores and his hand gesture to Di(ve) Maria when he is sent off is classic! Thanks for he posting.

Great highlights here. But something tells me you will watch greater ones next week from the Monaco game. This team has turned a corner and I wouldn’t put it past them to it around next tuesday. Shalcke 04 was a defensive blunder away from doing the unthinkable at the Bernabeu tonight.
I am quite expectant.
…and got pulled after doing nothing for 70 minutes.
Though it has been said here, great to see people bringing up the fact that Danny’s transfer fee of 16 million went on nothing more than Falcao’s ludicrous wages for the season….

Did anyone notice Smalling foul Monreal during the build up to our first goal? What an asshole!
The sneaky cunt could see the ref was facing the other way! But Nacho made him pay.

FATV’s clips from this game, the tunnel and pitchside cam clips are just riveting to watch. Per’s leadership is evident, as is Coquelin’s fire (Szczesney, Per & Rambo had a very hard time holding him back during the Angel Mary incident) and from Theo’s expressions he’s not in a good place right now. Rambo’s physical presence was crucial, but it was tough for Theo to miss out on this one. The whole performance is typified by Alexis – even though they scored from the move, watching his explosive sprint to close down Valencia is electrifying! Rare from such a gifted… Read more »

He’s been perfect so far at what he is doing.
If you remember his younger days, he still has some dribbling and passing skills in his locker that he has yet to show us.
If he improves his efficiency in these areas as he has done with his defending, he’ll be a monster.
People who say he can’t be a long term solution at DM are morons. Makalele was not exactly a tall man himself. Mascharano, who Coquelin’s game reminds me of, is not a very tall man either. Coquelin does his job at a top level and that’s all that matters

Anyone know why Le Coq goes so berserk during the DiMaria sending off. He completely loses it and had to be held back ‘cos he wanted to clump someone, but why ?
Because di Maria is a shameless diving asshat, & that’s just not to be tolerated.
He probably saw di Maria tug Olivers shirt and was trying to make sure he got sent off.
And at times we need that.. you see how rooney hounds the referee every time.. we need that from our players.. as a captain per is too nice and doesnt do such things.. thats why arteta as a captain is really good.. he is good at getting freekicks and the opposition booked..

Their next 5 matches in the PL…
If they found playing us dispiriting I’d be amazed if they stayed in the top 4 after playing those.
I’m hoping for 6th place for them, 5th for Spurs.
De Gea was diving a lot stopping Santi and Alexis from making it 4-1.
He’s a c–t for that but he is rather good, like a c–t really.
He’s not a cunt for doing his job as a GK. Please dont let your hate for United cloud your appreciation for a great goalkeeper. Neuer maybe the best ever, but De Gea wont be too far off if he continues like this.
Yep. Will never tire of watching that!

“to turn it around” please. My mind working faster than my fingers.
In further ‘laughing at utd’ news, I hear that falcao earned his 300k this week by having a trot out for the under 21s today. Heh.
…and got pulled after doing nothing for 70 minutes.

Am I the only one who loved that Monreal celebration in slow motion (Pitchside video by FATV)?
Yeah!! But I can see why his nickname at the club is “Crouchy”!
Well, in the same video, I spotted something more thrilling.
Le Coq’s celebration!
Grinch’s save for Sanchez’s hit at the end. Fuck
United’s squad and their style makes me feel so pathetic, I’d rather listen to “In the air tonight” with a toast, with Mr.Blogs all day long!!
Stuff all, stuff all, stuff all, man Utd are winning stuff all and the cockney reds are going off of their coz Utd are winning stuff all
