Mesut Ozil says he used to be afraid of dogs but since he got a dog he’s not afraid of dogs any more and now he loves dogs.
The German midfielder was speaking to Sport Magazine, revealing his black pug called Stallone helped him overcome a childhood fear.
“I have one dog, his name is Balboa,” he said, “but I was frightened of dogs as a kid! I wanted to overcome my fear, so I decided the best way to do this would be to own a dog. I got it as a puppy, raised it and have overcome my fear.
“Now, I love dogs.”

He also talks about some unimportant stuff like football, and has backed the team to be genuine title contenders next season.

I liked Ozil a lot before I read this article. Now I like him a lot more. Dogs are the best thing in the world.
