Bad news this evening – on top of the result – as Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Hector Bellerin will miss the game against Sp*rs on Sunday.
Wenger says Bellerin won't recover in time to face Tottenham on Sunday. Koscielny might.

Leaving aside Mathieu Debuchy’s struggles so far this season, it has a real affect on the whole balance of the team. The Spaniard’s attacking verve makes a real difference and he’s going to be a big loss.
It does mean that the French international will get another game, with Calum Chambers third in the pecking order, followed by a chair, three books sellotaped together, and the groundsman just throwing a load of marbles on that area of the pitch.

Oh geez, DeBuchy was woeful today.
Maybebthat tackle will give him confidence. He looked ok befo the injury so here’s hoping
The interlull couldn’t be coming at a better time for us. Let’s hope few of the players recover by then.
Love the Interlull
Debuchy wasn’t good but he was better today considering he had to quickly up his game for the mighty Bayern after a run out vs the average Owls.
Now vs the Shitty sp*rs watch out because Debuchy might just run riot.
Right in their debuchy!
Thought he was a lot better than I was expecting. I’ve never been his biggest fan but he’s not going to be against real pace against spurs like today, so may be okay..
And in fairness, he himself claimed that he needed a run of games to up his form so on this evidence…
He did well.
Looks strong on the ball and when afforded moments, he attacked with intent. Won some eye-catching aerial balls too, which not to Bellerins discredit but he isn’t the best here.
Strength in diversity much like Theo and Giroud will see us win the NLD.
That and an eternal superiority regarding anything to do with football over those cock balled Cunts
on injuries…
I don’t think Bellerin will be available for Sunday
but there is a small chance. From tonight we
don’t have any new injuries.
Unfair to comment on this performance.Every player looked fairly poor.As said before he was good before that thug from Stoke injured him.Give him a chance
🙁
…Marbles, you say?
I think we’re on to something.
Oh no
Same thing happens every season,go on a good run then get plagued by injuries. So frustrating
Oh fuck.
Gutted! Hector has been immense this season. Debuchy is playing like a man who hasn’t played much football for a while. He looked knackered for large parts of tonight’s game. I really hope he can recover properly for Sunday. He’s a decent player but will need to improve massively on Sunday against the spuds.
I think that’s the key point, Debuchy is a good player but needs games under his belt to refind done form. How many games is the big issue!
I get the thinking behind needing games under your belt to start getting some sort of form, but what happens when Bellerin is fully fit and Debauchy goes back to the bench? I like Debuchy and it’s sad how his career at Arsenal has played out with unexpected injuries, but with his sadness, we found great happiness in Bellerin looking incredibly gifted and getting better all the time. We don’t need a player to come off the bench and looking out of sorts needing a run of games, we need a player that has the mentality to step up when… Read more »
Bellerin is good enough to play anywhere down that right flank, so with Theo and Ox out could easily play in front of Debuchy if required
Shit. At this rate Bould cant be far away from a place in the starting lineup
Lol!!!
I wonder if there is an inverse to the rule that says you don’t have to register under 21s who have been at the club x years. Could you get away with not registering over 45s too?
Why Bellerin? Why why why?
Probably cos any young player who gets overplayed like he does is bound to get injured. Just ask Football Manager.
Honestly were lucky it wasn’t any more serious than it seems to be!
Fucking fuck the fuck off. Could we please just not have so many injuries for once?
That’s it, I’m done with this shitty evening.
Debuchy was ok tonight. JC let him down on Robben’s goal and he had some crucial interceptions.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, blame the goal on Jesus.
#ForçaBellerin
ohhh come on !!!!
Shad the fuck up…
Well Debuchy wanted a run of games and now he’s got them. I think he’ll get his groove back. Marbles?!?!?? Ingenious!
They should take the Elgin Marbles to Olympiacos and it might appease the Gods.
Better now than later the injuries.
All we need is to be there or thereabouts till January. I think we are going to have a stormer in the second half of the season with Welbeck and Wilshere trying to catch up on lost time; Rosicky attempting to bow out on a high and Ramsey and Ox back to fitness.
Think we’ll still take the points on Sunday.
sorry but this is wishful thinking. Wilshire will return and get injured again.
And the hits keep on coming!!
Quel surprise.
I never thought I’d miss Jenkinson so much.
At this rate I’m anxious Petr Cech or Coq will soon be out for 6 weeks which will be preceded by another 4 weeks of recovery before another 2 week setback
It’s not fair to define the next few matches on how Debuchy plays!
Bayern are rather good at home and the Spuds are shit especially away from home…it’s up to our attackers to stuff the Spuds!
*effect
(Sorry)
Fuck it. Wildcard in fantasy squad time.
before an international break?
Injuries coming in fast and hard.
Everything is shit.
Never saw Debuchy worthy of the Arsenal jersey even at his best. He’s simply average defensively and erratic going forward. Strong but unintelligent gamewise. Slow.
But Chambers is even worse. Lacks confidence and has scored more goals against us than blocked them this season. Game changer.
Without Bellerin we don’t have backup down the right and would be safer to shift Coquelin the the right FB while starting Flamini in the DM role.
I got hammered for giving the facts on debuchy before the game and yet again he lived up to it.
Do you think the dirty scum up the road haven’t witnessed his games like tonight and shef weds etc?
Yes we have more than enough to beat them but if they repeatedly attack that left flank, it’ll be close.
Anyone who has thumbed me down better have the guts to front up and admit they’re wrong if Dubuchy pulls out yet another abject performance against the scum.
as long as you show up when he plays well…
Absolutely.
What are we worrying for? It’s only bloody Tottenham!
We’ve conceded 9 goals in the three competitive games Debuchy has played this season.
I’m not blaming him, but…..well, yes I am actually.
He has played 5 believe and we have conceded 13 goals.
But I felt he was decent yesterday. Often let down by Campbell
Funny how its easy to blame Campbell for Debuchy being poor. Campbell can blame Debuchy too.
Debuchy was better today than he was a week ago. The guy used to be really good, and can be again. Two devastating injuries set him back a lot. Don’t worry about him–he’ll do his job against the Spuds. It won’t be Bayern again. Just think–when we get all those injured guys back, it’ll be like a half dozen new signings!
The whole of right side is cursed.
Should of kept the corporal around this season…
Jesus Christ… This team is so brittle it’s sad. Every year it’s the same damn story, injuries. Idk why this team thinks it can just loan away fringe players when they already know they’ll have a couple of injury crises a year.
How nice would it be to have Jenkinson/Gnabry/Akpom right now?
Without Bell and Kos we r fooked
What’s with all the negativity here today (and last night)? We threw away our Champions League campaign in the first two games, and that really sucks, but otherwise we’ve been pretty darn good this season, especially over the last month. Yes, we lost 5-1 last night, but it was to what is probably the best team in the world while we’re in the middle of a really unlucky spell of injuries (and yes: it’s definitely bad luck when all your backup players get injured while the first eleven are mostly fine – that cannot possibly be a mismanagement issue). After… Read more »
Also: if everyone is so worried about the Europa League messing up our season we should have no problems beating a Europa League team on the weekend after a Thursday game. Those are the games Europa League teams are supposed to lose, aren’t they?
Thank god we’re only playing Tottenham. We might have been in big trouble if were playing against a decent side.
there are no injury gods or bad luck, only lack of preparation.
We’ve got the squad to deal with this and definitely the team to beat Spurs at home. Debuchy is the best back up RB we’ve had in recent memory. And even The Jeff or another run for Campbell should be enough to cause Danny Rose problems. Either this team want to win the league or they don’t… C’mon you rip roaring Reds!
I really think that the groundsman throwing marbles on the pitch should be high up the order.
Who really gives a fuck who plays.Just beat the scum we’ll all be happy
Bellerin’s pace changes opposition strategy. He’s a monster. Can defend and attack, and is composed. Without him and Theo it makes it much easier for teams to stagnate our play.
