Wenger confirms Bellerin absence

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Hector Bellerin will miss the North London derby on Sunday.

The Spaniard picked up a groin strain in the 3-0 win over Swansea and was rested for the trip to Munich in midweek. However, the problem is too serious for him to return for the game against Sp*rs. He’s expected back after the Interlull – but we’ve heard that before!

Speaking about Laurent Koscielny, the manager said he ‘might’ be available, while Mikel Arteta will have a fitness test tomorrow to see if he’s fit enough for a place on the bench.

Speaking about the game on Sunday, Wenger said of Sunday’s opposition, “They have always in my memory had strong teams. It will be a tough opponent just like every year.”

Are you going to threaten to leave if they don’t?

Injury gods.. Leave us alone

Rip Van's Winkel

Now that I have passed my exams, I can make offerings to the injury gods.
I have inserted some left-over sparklers into the necks of two headless cockerels
(Shite & Fart) and sent them in a cage to the Milton Keynes branch of Colonel Sanders.
My tutor, Shaman Scandal, gave me an A star for that.

injury god, why not take a trip to the blue side of London

Ajinkya

There is no blue side. London Is Red.

Dat Guy

So important we get the 3 points this weekend – not even to mention the fact it’s a must win derby in general. If we can get the 3 points and then get Bellerin and maybe Ramsey or the Ox back after the international break we’ve got a decent run of fixtures which I believe our strongest team could pick up a decent amount of points from. Come on!!

Injuries, but why???????

Ronnie Pickering

Injury situation just unbelievable again . I just don’t get it .

Rich

It’s really not that complicated
1.We have too many injury prone players like Wilshere, Arteta, Ox, Ramsey, Rosicky, Walcott.
2. we then over play our first 11 because Arsene doesn’t trust the rest and that’s because there not at the desired standard.

3. We then can’t roatate, pick the same 11, burn them out and they also get injured.

Al Gilmore

Would like to point out that Wilshere’s last two injuries were down to heavy impact rather than him being ‘prone’. Doubt any players ankle would have survived the McNair tackle unscathed.

Mark

Looks like Welbeck could be added to that list, I know he hasn’t been injury prone in the past, but to be out as long as he is with different things and never really having been a full-time starter sure looks that way to me.

Gab's Scratch Mark

Hoping that Debuchy and Co. that are on the fringes use Sunday’s game as a springboard for a decent run.

Bring back Jenko!

Possession

Koscielny Bellerin Walcott Welbeck Wilshere Ramsey Oxlaid-Chamberlain Rosicky and Arteta out injured……..BUT WE’LL STILL HAVE ENOUGH TO BEAT THE SPORES !!!

COME ON YOU GUNNERS…..

Kenyan Gooner

We have to win on Sunday. No matter what. Debuchy and Campbell need to stay focused.

Asif

Saw Hector at Novikov last night, he looked very down, I didn’t have to heart to ask him if he’d be playing the derby, his face said it all ☹️

Arsen`s zip

Anybody come out with the % of our injured players to be fit after the international brake?

If Ivan Gazidis is not working on tying Hector down with a new long term contract then he is a cunt.

Hopefully another 90 mins on Weds will have helped Debuchy get more up to speed than he has been when he’s played this season, I remember last season at the shite hart lane eriksen kept pulling Hector inside and Rose had a lot of space to keep running into so Joel is going to have the be switched on if the scum try and pull the same move

EFXI

The problem is that it seems to be the same players continually getting injured.
Wilshere, Ramsey, Walcott, Chamberlain to name. That’s not even mentioning Rosicky (always dead).
But for some reason we have Joel Campbell who is in all honesty less than average (to a point I think I’d rather have Gervinho back).
And we decide to sell Podolski who would die for the club, and actually has the ability to score.
I hate being negative, but we all know this injury situation was on the cards.
