Reports this morning say that Glen Kamara us set to join Southend on loan for the rest of the season.
The 20 year old holding midfielder, who has represented Finland U21s and was an unused substitute for the Finland senior side in a friendly against Estonia in June 2015, made his full Arsenal debut this season in the 3-0 Capital One Cup defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.
It was an inauspicious night for most of the Arsenal players that night, but even with a central midfield injury crisis he hasn’t been called up to provide cover from the bench, with his chances of first team football at Arsenal extremely slim.
The Shrimpers are currently 9th in League One, and managed by the tangerine dream Phil Brown, who said, “We have been chasing Glen for about six weeks now and I’m very pleased to have got the deal done,”
“It stopped for a little while when Ben Coker got injured and we had to concentrate on bringing in a left-back.
“But the opportunity presented itself yesterday to get the deal done and, just like the others players we have brought in, I think it will help us improve significantly.”
Best of luck to him there.
Goodluck Glen and come back to become another strong and efficient Coq for the Arsenal, next two seasons may be?!
Unbelievable Jeff! Oh. Not him then?
He needs to improve, but more importantly, be consistent. He’ll always have a chance under Wenger. But times are-a-changing. Iwobi, The Jeff, Zelalem, A M-N, Hayden, Akpom … Not looking good. Plus most of our first team players are young as well.. and getting to that age where they can begin to explode to full performance.
He’s got his work cut out for him. But he’s still ours and I absolutely 100% wish him the best. Hope he improves massively for us.
Good luck boy!
