mmm.. i would argue on ox over campbell. The guy has been tremendous lately.
Agreed. Ox did pretty well against Bournemouth, but by that argument we should definitely be seeing Gabriel in that lineup, and possibly Chambers as well. I really hope we don’t see Campbell immediately fade back into obscurity as soon as Alexis is fit again, as based on the last month or two he deserves to be in contention for the right wing regardless of who is available.
Youre right..after the game you have to wonder what Arsene was thinking starting Flamini he was awful and so was Ramsey..Kosc the boss thank you for that goal and we need compeiton for Giroud he’s playing like a striker who is too comfortable in his position because he has no competition. He looks like hes not interested. Terrible with his pressing and not urgent enough. Those 3players Giroud, Ramsey and Flamini couldve cost us this game thanks to Cech And Koscielny
And the OX was good in patches running at players but with aboslutely no end product all those one on ones and runs past players come to nothing that is very disapointing for a player like the OX i expect such lack of end product from a player like Iwobi not the OX he’s still playing like an academy player over running balls bad first touch not enough defensive awareness sometimes takes up bad positions over hitting passes and what about that cross that went straight into the stands after some lovely footwork its frustrating maybe after this season he… Read more »

Debuchy not even on the bench .Can we say he’s on his way out?
Yep, I thought it was actually a good fixture to play him in and give Bellerin a deserved rest, but it looks like he’s leaving…
I don’t really understand why this keeps being brought up. We already have three defenders on the bench: Gabriel is our best backup defender and Gibbs and Chambers can both play in midfield as well. Is there really any point in having four defenders on the bench, when most substitutions tend to be in the front four?
Debuchy not in the squad, even when fit? Something’s up.
Glad to see the Ox start, he looked sharp against Bournemouth, final ball not there right now due to confidence but he was beating his man and looked sharp running off the ball.
No Debuchy would suggest he’s close to being a goner, risky move leaving Chambers as our only other option at right back
No Gabriel or Campbell? Surely should at least for rotation reasons… Not the exact line-up I was thinking but should do!
Gabriel should feature in FA Cup clash against Sunderland, the rotation is make sense to be honest.
Meanwhile Oxlade is quite good on last game, so it’s not really weird Wenger give him another chance to find his peak performance.
Good line-up but I don’t think Gabriel deserves to be benched. Also, Ozil, Giroud and Bellerin need a break so I hope we score a bunch in the first half so they can rest in the second. Looks like Debuchy is off, not even on the bench, not sure I’m totally convinced with Chambers as back-up RB due to his lack of pace. It’s needed both for going forward and covering the BFG.
I sense RB coming in and Debuchy going out.
No Gabriel.. Wasn’t expecting that
The JEFF has to come on otherwise we are doomed.
Even though ox is a personal favourite, I’d take Campbell all day on current form
but we need to get our Ox in the box some confidence so I see why he rotated Campbell out. Gabriel unlucky, but I think the boss prefers Mert/Kos or Mert/Gab to Kos/Gab combo.
Smash these brown ale drinking gordies of Newcastle please! I wonder if McClaren will break out the umbrella again, haha
Could negotiate an initial 6 month loan (leading up to Euro 2016) for Debuchy, see how things go coz I really rate the fella!
At least we will not be beatan.Coz flam starts at the emirates.
ps: I am a positive gooner.
Don’t jinx it.
Theo and Ox step up to the plate please!
Half time and they haven’t stepped up….. I can see Campbell coming on at 60 mins….
68 mins in fact COYG!
Ox had a pretty good game against Bournemouth, so hopefully he’ll continue on an upwards trend. Hopefully.
Anyway, Campbell on the bench isn’t bad if we need a goal. We’ve been short of attackers on the bench for a while
Love to see the ox score today. Did last time (with a bit of help from there captain!)
I think the Ox is a “confidence player” the more games he plays the better he gets, should be the perfect game for him today, the northern twats will be low on confidence (not to mention being a pile of shite) so with the Arsenal being at home, should have at least 65% of the possession, I’ve got him as first goal scorer…COYG
Come on guys. This is Newcastle. No barca. 3 points guaranteed. So opportunities to rotate
Arsenal playing poorly so far…@32mins
Chamberlain has Regressed so much.
Slow day everywhere.
No excuses here. But on current first half ratings, it below average for this Arsenal team.
When you can’t score from open play, you score from corners. Stuff of champions.
Stuff of champions, unless your Arsenal in which case the media have a different agenda. They are minimizing our season already by saying no one wants to win it. Can we say then that no one wanted it last season too and Chelsea ran away with it bc Arsenal shot ourselves in the foot early on, City were having a title hangover and United we in reconstruction? Pure nonsense by the media. This season is more competitive than ever with teams like Stoke able to take advantage of the TV money and able to field Kirkic-Affelay-Shaqiri. Its made a huge… Read more »
