Four Arsenal fixtures moved for TV broadcast

Arsenal have had four Premier League games selected for broadcast in April although confirmation of the new kick off times will be subject to the club’s progress in the FA Cup and the European involvement of other clubs.

Our trip to West Ham will be on BT Sport while the away game against Sunderland and home games against Crystal Palace and Norwich will all be on Sky Sports.

Here’s the state of play (as things stand)

As was the case with the Leicester game earlier this month it’s possible that other games could be subject to a late change. As usual none of this is particularly convenient if you’re trying to book travel or hotel arrangements…

Update – should we beat Hull City in our FA Cup fifth round replay on Tuesday 8 Match (7pm ko) we’ll face Watford at home and the date for that has also been confirmed.

Arsenal v Watford

This is part of the reason it’s incredibly difficult for me to justify a international vacation to go to a match.

Money talks. Money talks. Dirty cash you want me dirty cash I need you oh!

This really pisses me off. 15.00 kick off time is the best time for me as i have to travel from abroad.

It’s been a while since it was possible to attend a match because the matches i was planing to go all moved because of this shit

sigh

Harish P

If there’s something decent about this, at least they have given a fair warning about a likely change.

dutchgunner

As a foreigner i’ve been unable to attend matches for a while now because of these changes. 15.00 kick of is the most ideal time not to have to take time off from work in order to travel. The matches i was looking into all got changed now….

dutchgunner

Can someone clarify if the norwich match possibly changing again because of English clubs involvement only depends on arsenals progress? because i can’t see us beating barcelona in the return leg anyway.

Glenn

No, in fact it depends on Man City and Chelsea too. City’s game has been moved to Sunday, while Chelsea-Spurs is on the Monday.

If either of them get to the CL semi finals and play on the following Tuesday, then their game will be shifted back to Saturday and ours will be moved later in the weekend – provided we aren’t playing against them on the Tuesday, naturally.

i have given up going to games after january now for the last 2 seasons because of the change of kick offs times and day changes, previously out of pocket by over £200 as if it aint expensive enough, cant afford to loose more money like that. its so frustrating we get the money deals from sky etc but the fans always suffer and with out them there is no football. need more responses like the Liverpool stand off, how can one say its a working mans passion anymore. im not alone on this subject im sure but we now… Read more »

Fans don’t suffer though. If they did the clubs would do something. But it’s a sell out most weekends. And people are willing to pay hundreds a year to Sky and BT so I’m pretty sure there are now more fans than ever involved and watching.

Also they announce the changes months in advance so how many times have you lost out due to this? Surely you’ve learnt your lesson to wait until fixtures are announced. It’s quite rare they change them very late on.

Jack Kelsey

True enough. But if things carry on as they are, we could all too easily end up with a situation like you get with some major league baseball teams or NFL football teams in the US, where it’s practically impossible for the bloke in the street to get a ticket because they’ve all been cornered by corporate clients or travel firms offering a (pricey) package deal for tourists. The real fans will be squeezed out of the stadiums, and the atmosphere will suffer. The big businesses the call the shots these days don’t get this, or if they do they… Read more »

This may be unpopular but I’m really glad these games have been moved so I can watch them on TV. I don’t pay for all the sports channels just to watch Phil Thompson’s nose talk me through what’s happening in an Arsenal game every 10 minutes

Clock-End Mike

I believe that’s every single match between now and May rescheduled, except (I think) Arsenal v Watford in the league on 2 April. Every weekend a different time. Can it get any more stupid?

Bananaman

It could. You could pay hundreds in subs to Sky and BT and have no matches on.

Moan moan moan.

Joel Carter

At least most of the matches are on Sky. BT sport is so bad….

Hi-brid

That’s cleared that up then.

Arsepedant

Yep. The games have been moved, and they have been moved to where they have been moved, and where they have been moved will not be moved, unless they must be moved because where they have been moved needs to be moved.
