part of me thinks we are the strongest team in the world and 1% of me is scared if we go back next pre season they’ll gibe us a blood eagle!

I’d be happy watching those kids in the first team. They’re confident and there’s enough experience in the squad to save that from being obliterated. We may not win the league with them as everyone knows’ You win nothing with kids but I doubt us doing that with the purchase of an expensive striker. There’s something to be said for a group of young fellows, who appear to be mates, coming through at the same time. George got rid of a lot of the dead-wood and bloodied the youngsters, Arsene could do worse than following his lead. It’s true that… Read more »

Anyone that watched the game disagree with Campbell/Reine Adelaide for MOTM?
Both really showed up yesterday – admittedly not exactly against the peak of footballing talent – but you play against what is put in front of you.

So because some of our youngsters handed the arse of FC Viking, for as mighty as they may be in the Norwegian league, back to them they are now going to go on a do the same to Citeh?
Weirdly I began to get bored watching Arsenal scoring.
That’s never happened before.

I would have preferred to see Arsenal participate in the Champions Cup in the US; playing teams like AC Milan, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Leichester etc. The last two games may have been confidence boosters, but you don’t improve or truly test your young players by playing third rate teams.

Has any one else noticed how strange Iwobi and the Jeff look when attacking with the ball? Iwobi’s arms flail about like a little girl, yet he still blows by strong defenders. And the Jeff looks like he’s on ice skates…he literally glides across the pitch. This gliding motion throws off opponents, as it completely hides his blazing speed. Very nice performance from both last night.

Debuchy looked good tbh some good interception, overlaps, incisive froward passing. Willock looked like he couldnt be bothered imo when he came on. Iwobi is class act, Bielik very very impressive. Just a couple of things i noticed i guess. Some senior playera might have tostep their game up here. And wow Walcott scored…but so did Akpom.

Surprised no one has mentioned how well el neny played. So versatile. Iwobi is really impressive with his dribbling. Walcott definitely the weakest player at Arsenal. Campbell, Alexis, Iwobi – our front three against Liverpool. I feel that Campbell plays better with Iwobi on the pitch. Excellent passer of the ball too. I hope Wenger rewards Campbell for his performances.

Hard to draw too much from this It’s preseason and after all Barca trashed Liverpool Off the back Campbell,Iwobi and Ox all look in fine mettle competimg for the other spot on the wing WAlcott needs to get into some sort of form for us, hope the goal helpef also almost a good assist for the Santi half volley that missed just OUR cbacks may not fare as well in the PL…Gabriel particularly looked a littke shaky but he is just returning from a layoff i suppose. Still plrnty of iffy moments at the back OSPINA continues to be suspect… Read more »
