Lucas Perez back in training

Lucas Perez is edging closer to a first team return after partaking in a light session at first team training ahead of the match with PSG.

The Spaniard suffered ankle ligament damage just over a month ago in the 2-0 EFL Cup win over Reading and subsequently missed the matches with Sunderland, Ludogorets, Sp*rs and Manchester United.

It’s likely the striker won’t be ready for another week, meaning he’ll miss three more games, however, he could challenge for a squad position when Arsene Wenger’s men travel to the London Stadium to face West Ham on 3 December.

Arseblog News’ resident Arsenal youth expert, Jeorge Bird, also reports that Chris Willock and Gedion Zelalem trained with the first team ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League group decider. We’ll have more team news later.

Get outta here Jonesy! Wrong franchise. 😀

This has been a good week so far.

Be great if Giroud scored against PSG! It’s the only way to answer his critics.

I’d like to see both Giroud and Sanchez start, and both of them to score against PSG. Sanchez can be rested for the Bournemouth and Southampton matches.

The way his leg was tightly strapped up against Man U, I wouldn’t take the risk!

Over the moon with this news! I really hope it puts the end to Ramsey on the wing. I think Perez will be miles better for helping our build up play in the final third which is when we cause most problems for the opposition – when we’re patient. I know he’s only played a handful of games, but the signs have been encouraging. Ramsey and Jenkinson have a lot of strengths, but with game controllers missing like Cazorla they can be a really disruptive to our rhythm. When Cazorla isn’t their they get on the ball a lot more… Read more »

You think that’s a picture of Lucas up there but it is actually a live stream of his mannequin challenge.

soon as we get him back and Wele then we have some competition for attack. Theo/Iwobi and Sanchez/Girioud will need to up their game!
