Arsenal’s third round FA Cup tie against Preston North end will take place on Saturday January 7th at Deepdale.
The game will kick off at 5.30pm and will also be live on BT Sport 2. It comes in the middle of hectic festive period, with the Gunners facing Crystal Palace at home on Sunday January 1st, and then Bournemouth away on Tuesday January 3rd.
If the game against Preston is drawn, the replay will be on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.
Apropos of nothing, here’s a Poorly Drawn Arsenal Tweet, just to flesh out this story a bit:

Good chance for some squad players to get a run out.
Yeah, at that time of year it’s critical to have squad players play that kind of game. If you can’t rest the main men in a 3rd round cup game against lower league opposition during the Christmas New Year crush, why is the squad even there?
That said though, Preston played like demons against Man U last year and would have sent them crashing out had it not been for Rooney diving his way to a penalty. Fair enough that Man U are shit nowadays but if Preston play like that against us we have reason to not take them lightly.
I need tickets!
Nice little way to spend my 27th birthday that
Happy Birthday in advance
I think we have a good enough squad to go for it considering we are staying away from CL for a little while now. I am thinking of an obvious champions league hattrick scorer here to start and make a mark!
solid twittering across the board
Let’s not take this one lightly. A Championship team away from home is no pushover. Rotate a little by all means, but let’s not have the EFL Cup team out there.
That team should have won. The team wasn’t bad the performance was!
Not on subject, but watching and laughing at ManUre, woeful, 0-0 half time.
Commentator – ‘Rooney’s acceleration is no where what is needed at this level’. That’s the level of the 3rd placed team in the Ukrainian league.
Moaninho ho ho.
0-1 *48
ManUre will make it all the way to the final, where Ludogorets will beat them 8-0.
I live in the north west and can only ever get myself to away games. I haven’t been to any games this season but have been to Liverpool, Burnley etc in past few seasons. If i can get some tickets, it’ll be great to go and watch what I am presuming will be a strong team due to squad depth this year. Excited, well my excitement is dependent on getting tickets lol
The picture in the tweet isn’t poorly drawn….I recognised the one on the left as Ozil straight away
We’re going for the treble [pushes Chelsea and Man City out of the way]
