Arsene Wenger says that pointing the finger of blame at individuals is the wrong way to go, and that the focus has to be on the collective.
The Gunners go into today’s clash with Hull City off the back of two disappointing defeats, and the Arsenal manager is looking for his team to respond in a positive fashion.
“The team wins and the team loses,” he said. “When you win sometimes some players are singled out as they are treated like exceptional players but when you don’t do well sometimes just focus on a little bit more of the team aspect and not try to blame each other.
“The blame culture is part of the perception of people as you say, but what is important is that we show that we are united.
“We have a good opportunity to show that we are a united strong unit and that we can bounce back.
“When you don’t win you cannot as well say that all is well. You have to analyse that something is not right. It is our job to find where and to have a strong united response.”
Let’s hope we see an Arsenal much more like the one that beat Hull 4-1 away from home earlier in the season.
Our greatest manager.
Second greatest, after Herbert Chapman. Do a little google search and find out some info.
That’s why he has a statue inside and outside the Emirates Stadium.
Though I would prefer us not to show we are United.
TheIt manager is a w*nker.
Good title change to ‘united’, thanks.
All that’s needed is 3 points. Post-analysis tends to tail off after a win.
Would love to see the BFG back in the heart of defence.
On your own there
Come on lads, us fans need you to show your so much better than what we’ve seen recently, let’s turn this around and get back on track.we got some big games coming up and the knives are out. Any kind of win will be much appreciated. Coyg
Be United win wank over selves and still be 12 points behind Chelsea.Differrent year same sthit.Wait this year fourth place should be quite a struggle but “Wenger” knows how to get to 4th .
Buzz off.
Buzzing off to 4th
it irks me to see the Piers Morons of this world hounding out a very good man…you will sooner or later get your wish and then what?
It will be different .Conte Pep Klopp. All younger .managers.How many clubs have a manager over 65 years old .I can’t remember any big clubs can you. New Generations coming in..He was the greatest we ever had and we need a transition when we are healthy .Thanks for the memories.
There are plenty of younger managers that tried but failed so badly they never made it back to the PL. So just saying some teams have young managers missed the fact that hundreds (if not thousands) of younger managers failed.
Whether he’s good enough or not has zero relevance to his age.
It’s five o’clock somewhere, eh?
There’s only one person to blame and that’s you Mr Wenger, do the honorable thing and leave at the end of the season and give someone else a chance to manage this once great club. Because enough is enough we ain’t going to win the big trophies with you in charge that’s a given.
How original…
I think some people believe that as soon as Wenger leaves, Arsenal will start winning trophy after trophy.
The truth is that, unless we are really lucky, we will struggle to even make it into the top 4, once we have a new manager in place.
I fear that by the time the Wenger out brigade realise this, the balance of power in north London will have shifted to the sp*rs side while we cross our particular desert.
How the pathetic man can’t see that he and the club needs players who can stand up when the going gets tough is beyond me! Could the likes of Ivanovic/or Lauren or Kolo playing at RB be bowled over like Bellerin? Or would the likes of Vierra or Yaya bounce off Hazard the way Coq bounced off, if this blind man can no longer see that then he needs to eff off and give another manager a chance! Would he have gone for wing backs and 3 CB as Conte did after losing 3-0 to us, nah I don’t think… Read more »
But we aren’t united, we are Arsenal.
It’s a totally different city
