Kelechi Nwakali joins VVV-Venlo on loan

Kelechi Nwakali is heading back to Holland for another season-long loan spell after agreeing terms with VVV-Venlo.

The Nigeria youth international spent last season with MVV Maastricht, where he made 30 appearances and scored two goals.

The 19-year-old joined the Gunners this time last year after shining at the U17 World Championships. He was also wanted by Utrecht and Basel.

Last season VVV-Venlo took Gedion Zelalem on loan. They’ve since been promoted to the Eredivisie. Good luck to Kelechi in Holland.
