Arsenal take on Leicester City this evening in our penultimate game of the Premier League season.
Can we carry on where we left off against Burnley on Sunday? Here are this evening’s official line-ups.
Leicester: Jakupović, Simpson, Morgan (c), Maguire, Fuchs, Choudhury, Silva, Mahrez, Diabaté, Iheanacho, Vardy.
Subs: Hamer, Benalouane, Dragović, Iborra, Barnes, Gray, Thomas
Arsenal: Cech, Maitland-Niles, Holding, Mavropanos, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Ramsey, Iwobi, Mkhitaryan, Welbeck, Aubameyang
Subs: Ospina, Osei-Tutu, Mertesacker, Mustafi, Willock, Nelson, Nketiah
Ah, wanted some Lacabameyang. Nice front three still tho!
Xhaka must really be one fit monster. He plays far more games than most in the squad and he hardly ever gets injured.
Really like the guy and hopefully the next manager helps him improve on some of his flaws.
The English press and pundits will hunt you and yours down for that comment. They’re already trying to recover from Wenger’s shock departure and you dare suggest will become a better player?
*Xhaka
Fair to point out Xhaka obviously worked on his flaws under the current manager as well – he’s been consistently really good for last 2 or 3 months already. What I love about him is that his passes do not only have the right direction, but also the right intensity, which is important as well. What I’d like him to work on next is to be a bit more adventurous in his forward passing – I noticed some very good runs (especially from Laca) against Burnley which went unnoticed. If I remember it correctly, he actually did try a lot… Read more »
His lack of speed and situational awareness were his biggest problems. But the situational awareness has improved a lot in the last few months. His positioning in the last few weeks has been impeccable.
I dare to say that he may come good, after all.
His only real mistake in recent months is diving in on Pogba…The guy has been much improved..I was one of the ones who was about done with him but can admit his improvement has been massive.
Looking at those line-ups, my first thought is that you have to master Diabate before you get to Fuchs.
Oh dear. 🙂
It’s all part of the English game, Paul. Even Philippe Senderos recognized it:

If that’s your first thought I’d be worried
Good to see Holding get a sniff into the squad. Certainly has an end of season (little consequence) reserve feel to the whole thing now. I feel without the team tends not to cope with pressure terribly well. With nothing to play for, the handbrakes may come off and we may play with better abandonment. Certainly the new gaffer’s job coming in will be how to make this team work together as a better coherent unit but also how to deal with pressure better. The many times we come out of a half time talk (if there is one) in… Read more »
pleased holding is getting some game time
Yeap.A decent test for the young pair against vardys pace, mahrezs dribble and more pace from kelechi.Hope they comes out of this one stronger.
Get real you lot about Xhaka, he is a liability & should be sold soon as. He can’t defend but he sure can pass a ball sideways & backwards, loads of money for a very very average championship player.
what?
maybe watch the game from now instead of munching on MOTD.
Obviously you are so biased you refuse to see the improvement he has made and is now an essential part of the team. Statistics show is one of the most positive passers in the country which gives lie to your comment
Nice one.Auba vs morgan,Mavro vs vardy, ndidi vs xhaka will be tasty.later two will tell us a bit more about their respective progress.and morgan is in real decline, rooting for another double, better yet a hat-trick from our #14 to to seal our first away vic of ’18! #COYG
Ndidi done did hi hamstring 2weeks ago
Where the fuck is Lacazette ?
Where is ozil and Laca?
Ugh we are being beaten by dross and with a promising CB being sent off!!! Not good!!! Is it bad that I want chavski to pop spuds to 4th spot – both are vile but I think spuds need mashing
