So long The Jeff, we hardly knew you. An eye-catching pre-season, Jeffing around with your Jefflocks flowing in the wind, and we all got on board the Jeff Express to Jeffland.
Here we are some three summers later and it’s all over. Arsenal today confirmed that the 20 year old was leaving the club on a permanent basis, signing for Ligue 1 side Angers.
He spent the second half of last season on loan there, playing 10 games for them, and impressing with them with his Jeffosity.
With midfield a crowded area at Arsenal right now, and a somewhat difficult injury record, the club have decided to call it quits and let him go play somewhere else.
We here at Arseblog News wish him all the best. We had high hopes, but it wasn’t to be. But maybe it will be again some time in the future, football is a funny old game.
So long The Jeff, may all your Jeffs be Jeffy.
Shame, I thought he had a big future with us. Hope he improves and comes back if so.
This angers me.
As much as someone copying the same gag from the previous Jeff article today?
Did not see the previous Jeff article today.
Please accept my apology, internet police.
Because no 2 seprate individuals can have the same idea?

Thanks for the lols. I needed this
This Angers me.
One of the funniest comments in a long time. Props!
I see what you did there 😀
Because no 2 seprate individuals can have the same atrocious spelling?
Sad to see The Jeff leaving permanently. Wishing him all the best, and a chance to play regular football. If he had stayed I feel he would’ve gone on another loan. Good luck!
And a fee? Do we even get some money value?
It’s a shame that his career didn’t take off with the Arsenal, but c’est la vie.
All the best, Jeff R-A, and thanks for your contribution.
We will always have the summer of ‘15. My locker and I bid everyone a fond au revoir!
I assume the fee we got was fairly low?
Last seen at Heathrow , getting on board the Jefferson airplane
No it was the Jefferson Starship, sorry for that really bad line.
If I knew how to do it, I’d post the gif of Lloyd Christmas from dumb and dumber “Goodbye my loooove”
Wish the jeff have a good career ahead of him and come back to us
Buy back clause I hope. He’ll be back in a Jeffy.
Taaaaaxxxxxxxiiiiii
Apparently the French FA don’t allow them
Tis a pity. I was hoping we kept him for another season to see how he progressed. We have so many others that need to be culled before him. Jenkinson is still lurking as is Campbell and Ospina is surely now surplus (not that Leno is any more convincing, perhaps a better frame). Asano is also one that needs to see exit. Also surely time for Akpom is up as well. This may mean Guendouzi gets the nod in midfield with some sort of feature this season. There’s of course also Smith-Rowe (the latest double barrel name) brewing albeit frankly… Read more »
Hope they included a ‘buy-back’ because I still see a great footballer in that lad.
One of my most favoured amongst the youngsters. I am convinced he has too much natural God given talent, (plus flair) not to make it. Will always be a fan favorite wherever he plays because of his ‘special touches’ and fan entertainment on the ball. I hope there is a buy back clause, else, i am convinced he will be another one that ‘got away’. All the best Jeff. I intend to keep an eye on how his career pans out, just like i do on Serge, who also was a fave of mine
all he ever did was a couple of backheel passes in a 2 game friendly summer cup
